"You flung that thing like a Hot Wheel!"

As soon as Dustin Henderson released Eleven, Cassiopeia Turner had the small girl in her arms, a breath of relief flooding between the two. Lucas Sinclair, Max Mayfield, Will and Jonathan Byers and Mike and Nancy Wheeler approached Scoops Troop, similar expressions of confusion on their tired faces.

"Lucas?!"

The dark skinned boy flung his hands up in an exasperation only an older sibling could feel, "What are you doing here?"

"Ask them. It's their fault." Erica Sinclair retorted as Cassie let go of El slightly, her arm flung over her. Her boyfriend, actually, scratch that, fiancé, spoke up, "True, yeah. Totally true. It's absolutely our fault."

Cassie pressed her lips together in the smallest grin as Robin's stuttered voice cut into the conversation. "I don't understand what happened to that car."

"El has superpowers," Dustin explained, pointing at the short-haired girl tucked underneath Cassie's arm. Cass shrugged, looking at her new friend, "It's her thing, none of us really understand it."

"I'm sorry?" Robin asked, eyes wide and confused. "Superpowers," Steve said. "She threw it with her mind, c'mon, catch up."

"That's El?" Erica wondered, pointing towards the girl in question.

"Who's El?" Robin asked, as confused as ever. Nancy squinted at her, her lips tugging into her teeth as she looked between Robin, Steve and Cassie in worry before finally resting her eyes on Robin. "I'm sorry, who are you?"

"I'm Robin. I work with Steve," she explained, voice hoarse and dry. Dustin cut in, a child-like grin on his lips. "She cracked the top secret code."

"Yeah, which is how we found out about the Russians in the first place," Steve continued, Jonathan scrunching his eyebrows together from beside his girlfriend. "Russians? Wait, what Russians?"

Cass piped up, "The Russians underneath the mall."

"Hang on, what-"

"The Russians!" Steve barked, his hands gesturing to the bodies on the floor beneath them. "Those were Russians?"

"Some of them," Erica shrugged, her brother responding in exasperation, "What are you talking about?"

"Didn't you hear our code red?" Dustin asked, looking at his best friend. "Yeah and I couldn't understand half of what you were saying," Mike spat, speaking for the first time.

"Goddamn low battery," Dustin cursed to himself, Steve groaning in response, "How may times do I have to tell you with the low battery?"

"Well, everything worked out. didn't it, Steve?" Dustin shot back in a lisped voice, Cassie giving him a weird look. She felt the small girl next to her slip out of her grasp silently, thinking nothing of it as she spoke.
