"Dustin?"The shriek made several customers turn their heads and stick their noses up in distaste as Cassiopeia Turner emerged from the back room, her break just beginning, wide-eyed and smile wide as she locked eyes onto the young boy. Rushing towards him, Cass engulfed the younger boy in a bear hug, lightly swaying him before releasing, taking his face in her hands and leaning back to get a good look at him.
"You grew at least four inches since you left for camp, man, what have they been feeding you?" Cassie joked, the younger boy beaming up at her, blush scattering around the apples of his cheeks. "Four and a half, actually!"
Cassie repeated him in a playfully dumbfounded voice, noticing his eyes start to drift over the photographs that decorated the walls of Cass's place of employment, his eyes widening as he looked over the mannequins.
Coughing awkwardly, Cassie physically pushed Dustin Henderson out of LoveLace the younger boy giggling at her protective antics. "C'mon, Dust. Steve should be on his break by now-"
"He got the job?" Dustin reeled back, facing her with wide, excited eyes, sprinting in the directions of Scoops Ahoy as soon as he saw the older teen move her head up and down.
Apologizing profusely to the people he ran into on the way there, the kid was already at the counter terrorizing Robin when she arrived, the short hair girl raising an eyebrow at her panting friend, Dustin looking in between the two in excited impatience.
Cass leaned on the counter, squinting at Robin, "Jesus," She scrunched her nose up, pouting. "Am I out of shape?"
Robin looked the girl over, running her eyes over her body, "You look good to me-"
Dustin threw his hands up, directing the attention back to him, a wide smile plastered onto his face. "So, he's here?"
Both Cassie and Robin's heads whipped towards the door as Steve burst out, mouth falling open in both shock and pure joy at the sight of the curly haired boy. "Henderson," he breathed out, arms rising over his head.
Dustin giggled, pointing at the boy in excitement, his eyes squinting as he laughed, Steve repeating his last name louder as he actually hopped towards the boy, a stupid grin on his face the entire time.
"He's back!" Steve pointed at the younger boy, pure elation on his face, eyes meeting Cassie's, his girlfriend's mouth open in amused shock at his reaction. He then gestured to Robin, repeating himself as if she was supposed to have any idea who Dustin was.
