ON IMPACT THE angels sent the trio flying backwards. Arya's brain didn't have time to catch up as Jack pulled her up and they ran. They ran through the forest, jumping over fallen trees and ducking under low branches. Arya's heart was beating out of her chest, roaring in her ears. She needed to get back and find Diana and Noah but Jack kept an iron grip on her hand as they followed Mary away from camp.

When they finally stopped Bobby stood in front of them with a scowl directed at Jack.

"You — This is your fault."

"What?" Mary asked in bewilderment.

"He used his powers," Bobby turned his stare to Mary. "Must've been how they found us."

"How do you know it wasn't me that they followed?" Arya shot back.

Bobby turned to her. "Baker set up sigils to hide her powers from Michael, so it had to be him."

"I didn't...I didn't mean to." Jack tried to defend himself. Arya squeezed his hand, trying to give him some form of comfort.

"Well, ain't that just gravy?" Bobby spat.

"What can we do to help?" Mary spoke, bringing the heat off Jack. Bobby stared at her for a few seconds before reaching into his pocket and handed her a gun.

"Here. Take this." Mary tucked the gun away. "There's a grain cellar, escape tunnels running underneath. Round up any kids you can find, get 'em safe."

"We'll come with you," Jack offered, exchanging nods between Arya and Mary.

"You've done enough," Bobby glared at the boy.

"Save your spitting for the angels, Bobby," Arya spoke up. The older man looked at her in slight surprise before his eyes softened and he faced Mary.

"Jack, Arya...the angels" the nephilims faced Mary as she shook her head, "we can't let them find you, so just...find some place and hide."

"Mary I can't just —" Arya tried to speak.

"Hide." Mary cut Arya off. She knew better than to argue with her.

Jack nodded and Arya gave Mary a small "fine".

"Okay," Mary squeezed Arya's shoulder and looked to Bobby. They nodded at each other before heading back to the camp to save who she could.

The nephilims looked at each other for a spit second. Neither wanted to run, but if Michael got his hands on either of them he could hurt even more people. Arya blinked away tears as Jack kissed her temple before they sprinted in the opposite direction.

Arya didn't know how long they ran but they just kept going. They took random turns but never stopped and never let go of each other.

"Wait," Arya jerked Jack's hand, pulling him back as her ears picked up something.
