•Jack•

It's finally Saturday, and I start getting ready for my date tonight. I am planning on stepping up from the friendship level, and then it will be much easier to get her to love me. Everything is going surprisingly well, and I have no doubt about her saying yes. I knew she secretly liked me the whole time!

Stepping up from friendship is exactly why I chose the diner for our date. It has pretty good food, but most importantly they do a lot of fun things. If requested, they have random 50s themed dancing, outdoor movie drive in things, and other fun dating stuff! At the back of the diner, they even have a big garden that lights up at night. That's where I'm going to exit the friend-zone.

"Jack, it's 6:25. You should probably go." Emma hands me my car keys and points at the clock.

"Yeah wouldn't wanna be late. Thanks, Em!" I start to rush out the door.

"Jack?"

"Yeah?"

"When do I get to meet this Elsa?" Emma looks at me expectantly with her big brown eyes. She doesn't know about the whole bet thing, so she thinks I'm in love with Elsa. Which I'm not. But she's in love with me.

I grin. "Soon. Very soon."

I get to Elsa's house and she comes out quickly. She must have been waiting for me- a good sign. Elsa is wearing a white quarter sleeved shirt, light blue skirt, and matching converse. As usual, she has her hair pulled into a French braid.

"You look perfect." I say, opening the car door for her.

She blushes slightly. "Thanks."

We get to the diner at around 7:00, the sun already starting to set. The diner only has a few other people, which is perfect for my plans. Elsa and I sit down at a booth and look at the simple menu.

"Ahem, hi, I'll be your server today. Can I take your order?" A waitress appears from around the corner.

We give her our orders and wait patiently for our food. I notice Elsa keeps looking at the old jukebox in the corner. Ha, she's making this way too easy.

I stop mid-sentence. "Wanna pick out a song at the jukebox?"

My question takes her by surprise and she looks at me. "Um... How does it work?"

We walk over to it. "It's simple, really. Just put a quarter in and choose a song!"

Elsa flips through all the songs in amazement. Most of them are really old, and I've never heard of any of them. Finally she lands on one called "Sh-Boom". It starts playing and she smiles excitedly. She's so cute.

"Wanna dance?" I hold out my hand to her.

She hesitates and looks around at the seated guests. "Uh, is that allowed?" I nod. "No one else is dancing."

"Don't worry about them." She takes my hand and we start dancing along with the music. It's more of an upbeat tune, so we jump around and just kinda go crazy. Soon enough, the other people in the diner start joining in. Everyone has a lot of fun, even Elsa seems to relax and let go. We smile and laugh our way through the dance, and it ends quickly.

"Wanna pick another one?" I ask, panting.

"Sure!" She doesn't seem tired at all, and she jumps with excitement. This time she chooses one called "Tutti Frutti". What the heck happened with the 50s?

This one is also more upbeat, so we do our best to copy 50s dancing. Even the staff joins us this time; the ones that aren't busy working. They do real 50s dance moves and Elsa and I try to copy them. It's hilarious to see everyone having so much fun jumping around and going crazy! I even try twirling Elsa like in a 50s chick-flick, but it doesn't really work out. Eventually the song ends and we both laugh breathlessly.
