Oikawa sat on the window seat, fiddling with his fingers as he stared out the window at the evening sky. The vividly-colored sunset reminded him of the day in which he first received his mission. That seemed like centuries ago.

"I shouldn't return to The Above for the time being..." Oikawa sighed, tracing the seam of the shirt that Iwaizumi had given him to wear in place of his normal white suit, "It can't possibly be that hard, right?"

"I've got no one to ask for help," Oikawa thought to himself regrettably, "So I suppose I've got to deal with this by myself?"

"Unless...I could ask him..." The brown-haired angel trailed off, before shaking his head. "No way. Not in a million angel years."

"...How did I end up here." Oikawa grumbled, standing in front of a rather snug looking house a few streets down the block. He opened his closed fist, looking at the address inscribed on a leaf, and he groaned.
"This is preposterous," The brown-haired angel complained, pressing the doorbell as he glared at the front door. "The fact that I have to stoop to this level is absolutely absurd."

Much to Oikawa's surprise, a shorter, orange-haired young man answered the door.

"May I ask who you are?" The young man said, and Oikawa raised an eyebrow.

"Err..."

"Hinata, who is-" A familiar ravenette poked his head out from behind the orange-haired man and glanced at Oikawa with surprise. "Oikawa-san?"

"...Kageyama." The brown-haired angel grumbled, and the man named Hinata looked between the two with a curious look.

"You two know each other?"

Kageyama nodded slowly, and Hinata looked at Oikawa closely.

"Is he..."

Kageyama nodded again, and Hinata stepped back to let Oikawa into the house, who was bristling with annoyance at the sight of his former junior.

"It's been a while, Oikawa-san. Sit here. I'll get you something to drink."

"That's fine, Kageyama. I'll only be here for a short while." The brown-haired angel replied, sitting down on the sofa slowly and feeling Hinata's gaze burn into the back of his head.

"Hinata, I'm going to talk to him. Can you give us some space?"

The orange-haired man nodded slowly, clearly reluctant as he walked away, and Kageyama sighed before sitting down.

"What can I do for you, Oikawa-san? We haven't seen one another for 9 years."

"I still don't like you." Oikawa said stiffly, and Kageyama rolled his eyes.

"Whether you like me or not is none of my concern."

"You're an arrogant ass."

"Can you stop beating around the bush and tell me why you're here?" Kageyama replied in a vexed manner, "I don't have all day."

There was a moment of silence, before Oikawa sighed as well.

"I've come to ask you for advice."

Kageyama raised an eyebrow. "That's very peculiar. You have nothing to ask from me, am I correct?"

"...I received my mission a few weeks ago."

The ravenette's mouth dropped open in shock.

"...and I've fallen."

"What?" Kageyama responded, surprised. "That's...impossible. But your humanity level..."

"Has risen." Oikawa finished grimly. "I've come to ask you for advice. How did you turn human?"

"By following the rules, of course." Kageyama responded, to which Oikawa almost snapped back at him.

"Well that's obvious," Oikawa said, massaging his temples, "But how many kisses did it take?"

"What?" Kageyama said, mildly offended, "You think a kiss just solves it?"

"I never got told anything!" Oikawa snapped, feeling his face flush, "That's why I reluctantly came to you for advice!"

Kageyama shook his head, "It's not just any kiss."

"Then what?" The brown-haired angel asked.

"...it has to be important."

"What in The Above is that supposed to mean?!" Oikawa interrupted impatiently, and Kageyama shrugged.

"The situation varies for everyone."

"Are you planning to not describe your kiss to me, Kageyama?"

The ravenette blushed slightly,

"It's none of your business! And my scenario will differ from yours!"

"How do you know that?" Oikawa pressed, and Kageyama slid slightly away from the brown-haired angel.

"Why are you so eager?"

Oikawa backed away slightly, firmly sealing his lips, and Kageyama jumped up in surprise.

"You...you've fallen in love, haven't you?!" Kageyama almost shouted, and Oikawa glared at the ravenette.

"T-That's none of your business!"

"The great Oikawa-san has fallen...in love." Kageyama whispered, and a pillow was thrown at his face.

"Before, I wouldn't care too much. But now..." Oikawa trailed off, dropping his voice slightly, "I have someone. I can't die."

Kageyama didn't reply.

"You should speed things up, Oikawa-san...if you have someone to live for, you can't afford to die."

"I know that," Oikawa replied sadly, "But I can't speed things up if I don't know what to do."

"You'll find out what to do soon, Oikawa-san," Kageyama said, attempting to comfort the brown-haired angel who was sullen. "It's harder than it seems."

"Yeah, I figured." Oikawa grumbled, standing up in preparation to leave.

"I mean, even Akaashi-san couldn't find a solution."

Oikawa freezes.

"Akaashi?"

The brown-haired angel turned towards the ravenette in shock.

"Oh no...he didn't tell you...did he?" Kageyama said, covering his mouth as his eyes widened.

"What did you just say?" Oikawa said, his eyes wide with horror, "Akaashi...what about Akaashi?"

"...he stopped by a few days ago." Kageyama said hesitantly, his eyes hollow with despair, "He said that it was too late for him and that he'd be gone soon."
"No..." Oikawa whispered, "No...No..."

"He's fallen, Oikawa-san," Kageyama said grimly, and Oikawa felt himself crumple to the ground, his mind filled with anguish.

"I feel as though I've made things right with the mortal whom I fell in love with on Earth, so at least if I don't survive this vicious cycle, I'll be able to die happily."

"How...how did I not notice?"

"He left...he left the one who he loved on Earth?" Oikawa stammered, looking up at Kageyama who didn't reply.

"He's...he's gone? But...I didn't get the chance to say goodbye..." Oikawa trembled, looking down at the floor with grief.

"I visited his mortal," Kageyama said, and Oikawa looked up at the ravenette. "I told him what had happened."

Kageyama shook his head, "he was overcome with grief. His eyes were wild. He believed it was his fault."

"...if I can't stop myself from falling...Iwaizumi will end up exactly like Akaashi's mortal."

Oikawa's tear-stained eyes widened with horror and realization.

"My very mere existence is going to tear Iwaizumi apart."
