Mind Talking between Familiar/Bonded
Mermish
Harry was on his bed staring at a wall but not seeing it. He still had three days of his week of resting before he could go back to classes. Usually you don't have to be in the hospital for that long for Magical Exhaustion, but since Harry's core is very large, Madam Poppy didn't want to take any chances of any lasting damage.
As a result, they were waiting for his core to be full recharged before attempting any magic. Even then, he was suppose to go easy on the spell casting, only using spells that his classes need him to, no outside work without supervision.
That also meant his Mastery sessions were being watched carefully for the next month and his during his Healing Mastery, Madam Poppy will cast a diagnose charm on him each time to see where his magical core levels were at. After the month, if his core hasn't reacted negatively, then he can go back to his previous spell casting.
The bracket for the Dueling Tournament had also been altered slightly. Realizing that his core was low due to two previous duels combined with his magic from the First Task, all duelers were only going to have one duel a week and the champions will have two weeks after a task before they can resume dueling again if they were also in the Dueling Tournament.
During his stay at the hospital, Madam Sprout, his head of house, had stopped by to let Harry know that the Yule Ball is coming soon and that all champions are required to bring a date as they were doing the First Dance.
Harry wasn't looking forward to it.
In his mind, making someone dance who doesn't want to is harsh. What if one of them had social anxiety, or a has panic attacks if they are the center of attention. It seemed idiotic in his mind to force people to do it. Admittedly, he thought that if you signed up for the tournament that meant you were okay with the spotlight, but it doesn't always.
Sometimes people put there names when they have brief courage, and then they are the anxious mess afterward when they realized what they had done. Courage to put you name in a Goblet doesn't always mean that they want to be the center of attention, and forcing them to be just didn't seem right to Harry.
Harry himself disliked the spotlight. Don't get him wrong, he's had gotten use to it in Hogwarts, but it's because he made his own mark on the school. It had little to do with what his mother had done to Voldemort when he was a baby.
No, the reason he had spot-light at Hogwarts wasn't because he was the Boy-Who-Lived, it was because he was that eccentric Hufflepuff that had a habit of befriending scary animals and making them his pet. At this point, everyone at Hogwarts knew he had two of the pixies from Lockhart's class (though, anytime a teacher tries to discipline him, they suspiciously disappear and have no connecting connection to Harry meaning he couldn't get in trouble and they had to be taken off his person).
They knew he had Pegasus and were friends with the Abraxhan from Beauxbatons, he was friends with a Unicorn, a Hippogriff, and some of the Grindylows in the Black Lake. They knew he had done something to stop the attacks during Second Year, and that wasn't even talking about the rumors going around about him having a deadly butterfly type creature (the Swooping Evil). And that was just the creatures they knew about!
No, Harry had the spot-light at Hogwarts because of his love of animals, it wasn't because he was the Boy-Who-Lived.
There was also the fact that Harry knew he had some social anxiety as well. Sure, he makes friends easily, but that's because he understands the people that he made friends with. Most Ravenclaw's (bare Hermione and Terry) he could barely understand and talk to. He had trouble explaining his thought process in most things which is what Ravenclaw's mostly ask for. He had trouble understanding some Gryffindor's because sometimes they don't think ahead and never understand the fact that he needs to have some sort of plan before doing something.
