As he drifted into sleep, Isaac felt his consciousness pierce into his mind's eye, and he immediately slipped into a lucid dream. He floated through an endless black space that felt like an eternity. He flailed his hands around in search of a way out of the dream. He almost panicked, but he calmed himself and closed his eyes to meditate within his dream, something he practiced whenever lucid. He began chanting the OM mantra, feeling the soothing vibrations at an exponential level. On his third OM, he opened his eyes.
Bright and colorful rainbow waves were bursting outward from his forehead, melting and morphing the endless black space into a beautiful mosaic of a vast universe. The universe began expanding at a rapid pace. Trillions upon trillions of planets, stars, and galaxies formed instantaneously from the vibrations of his mind. Time seemingly didn't exist in this realm of consciousness. The moment the thought came to mind, the reality was born. This is beautiful... this is unreal.
"It is beautiful, and it's very real." A hollow and somewhat ethereal voice said to him.
The resonating vibrations from the voice shook the image of the painting, coloring the universe gold. The stars and galaxies hummed with a monotonous and steady buzz. Slowly, piece by piece, the universe reverted in on itself, forming now an endless white space. When the white space had come into completion, an orb of golden energy materialized from a single point directly in its center. The orb twisted and split in the shape of a helix, and then formed into a man sitting in full lotus dressed in golden robes.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you," he said, noticing Isaac's uneasiness. "I couldn't help but notice the wonder you were creating. I wanted to add my vibrations to it as well."
Am I hallucinating this?
"No, you are not hallucinating this. Young Adept, I've felt the pangs of your heart, and I have come to deliver this message to you in the form of your dreams. I have seen the outcomes of all possibilities, all of which you are apart of. Know now, that Darkness is setting, but only for a time. There is nothing Darkness can cover from the Light of Truth. As the Sun rises and falls, as above so below, a balance will be restored on this earth. You have an opportunity to assist in restoring this balance to alleviate the suffering of many, as does everyone with you."
Isaac sensed a spiritual energy that he had never felt before. Though he didn't know his name, he still got down on his knees and asked this being for a blessing.
"I am Malakai. Although I have had many names in many lifetimes, many of which you knew very well. Young Soul, if you ask, you shall receive. I bless you in the name of all that is Holy."
He didn't recognize the man, but continued to talk with the dream being. "What opportunity are you talking about? How can I help anyone now when the whole world has gone to hell overnight. Chances are everyone I know is probably one of those monsters or is dead, and we're probably going to be stuck on my farm until we're dead too. What can I possibly do but wait for it all to end at this point? Seriously, what's my purpose to keep going on?"
"There is no purpose to anything until YOU give it meaning. What can you possibly do? Don't be so pessimistic. I tell you, the possibilities are endless. Were you not only moments ago creating a universe from the depths of your mind like a child playing with bubbles? Have you forgotten your awakening at the creek? Young Adept, you still think too negatively. You must see past the illusion death and observe the complexities of the Souls journey. Remember, 'The wise lament neither the living nor the dead. As the embodied soul passes from youth to old age, the soul similarly passes into another body at death.'"
Isaac recognized the verses from the Bhagavad Gita. The familiarity immediately soothed his negativity. "You're right, I know better. I know you can't kill the soul. I'll try my best not to be so negative, it's just hard right now to see the silver lining to this cloud."
"Do not try. Do. Have no fear, leave no doubt. I say unto you, if you continue to conjure negative thoughts, these opportunities I speak of may never come into fruition in this lifetime. Do not be so ignorant in thinking that there is nothing you can do, lest you wish to continue suffering. There are many who are in need of saving right now, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. There is much work to be done. Irreparable damage has been done to this spirit of this planet and it's aura grows more dim with each passing moment. You have a chance to alleviate its suffering. Now I ask you this, do you wish to be a beacon of light for THIS Earth, in THIS universe, or will you spend the rest of your days of this life in ignorance?"
Isaac did not want to be stuck in the darkness. It was the not knowing that hurt his spirit the most, but now he found his chance to fully let that go, to learn the truth, to have the light of understanding spread through him without obstruction. Even though he wasn't entirely sure who this man was that was asking him the question, his intuition knew he could trust him. With a loud booming voice he proclaimed, "I choose to spread the Light."
When those words echoed, the white rooms vibrational frequency increased, aggressively shaking its frame. The universe Isaac had created in his mind had returned in a glowing golden show. Stars shone brighter than ever with light blanketing the entire universe in gold. The planets, stars, and galaxies danced with each other in geometric coordination, creating a harmony throughout it depths that sang a magical song, the song of the mantra of OM.
Malakai looked at Isaac with a wide smile on his chiseled face, bowing his head in respect to Isaac's proclamation. "May it be so. Until we meet again," Malakai prophesied. In a flash, his body that had assembled from nothing disintegrated back into the ether.
Then the universe in Isaac's mind collapsed, crunching in on itself with immense pressure that directed towards his forehead, penetrating every molecule in his entire being. The force was so immense, it pushed him out of his dream state back into his physical body. When he came to, he was back in his study with his cat who was still sound asleep on his lap.
