A jolt of energy burst up through the spine of Isaac Gray, lifting him forward in his chair. He blinked his eyes a few times as he transitioned from the dream and back into reality. His soul had never felt lighter than at this moment and his face gleamed a grin that suggested endless possibilities. As Isaac began to process what had just happened, he found himself wishing he had more time to speak with Malakai, whomever he was. Thinking about their next meeting made him feel eager, like kid trying to sleep on Christmas Eve. He could hardly wait for their next meeting together and for the next gifts of wisdom that Malakai had to offer.

The dream he had experienced was unlike anything he had ever known. Isaac had lucid dreamt before, but nothing quite like this. He wondered if it was best to tell anyone about it, but he figured anyone he told would probably brush it off as just a dream, would look at him as if he were insane, or would flatter him in listening but not actually believe in any meaning to the dreams symbolism. He did however believe his best friend and soul brother Sean would listen, but the more he thought about it, the more he felt that this was meant for discussion at a later time. For now, he assured himself he would never forget the beauty of it, the meeting of the messenger, and his declaration of working in the Light. He created a new mantra to practice, he began repeating to himself in his mind, I will work in the Light. I will work in the Light. I will work in the Light.

After a few minutes of mantra meditation, he yawned and stretched his arms above his head, cracking his sternum and shoulders a few times. He then twisted his back side to side, popping each fixated vertebrae. He tilted his head to the left and to the right, cracking his neck on the two sides, then circled it into the full range of motion. I should do some yoga while I got time. In front of him was the green digital clock on the computer desk that read 4:20AM. He saw that he had forty minutes until it was time to get up, so he chose to do a short practice to exercise every joint. A sequence called, the Meridian Exercises.

The Meridian Exercises was a practice developed by Isaac's teachers teacher, Doctor Hiroshi Motoyama. The system was simple, take every single joint to their full ranges of motion to promote increased blood flow and generate Piezoelectricity in the fascia to increase energetic flow in the body. Doctor Motoyama discovered that stagnation of Piezoelectricity, also known Chi to the Taoists or Prana to the Yogis, often occur in the joints and fascia which causes dysfunction to the body. When the joints are taken to their full range of motion, the circulation of blood and energy increases and accelerated the self healing mechanisms of the body. It was the first bit of yoga Isaac ever learned aside from meditation and something he practiced several times a week with his older clients.

Isaac closed his eyes and breathed low into his diaphragm. He let his muscles soften, and went into the sacred space of Yoga he and Sean had learned years ago from their teacher David Elkins. After a minute he opened his eyes he began his practice. He started with his toes, spreading and clenching them a few times. He alternated pointing his toes forward and back, stretching his ankles for a moment. Then he took each toe of his right foot, moved them forward and back a few times, cracking every toe on the first forward bend. He turned them in, turned them out, rotated them in a circle, and gave them a little pinch and pull on the nail as he moved from toe to toe. He finished his right foot with a massage to the sole of the foot, top of the foot, heel, and Achilles tendon.

He rotated his right ankle in a circle a few times one way, and then a few times the other, doing his best to balance. When he felt the balance he placed his leg down and massaged his calf and shin, using some friction and compression to create heat in his leg. After he had enough of the massage to his calf and shin, he took his knee to the full range of motion, extending the tibia out, and flexing it back in, each time interchanging pointing his toes and pointing his heel to alternate a different stretch. He placed his leg down and massaged his quads, inner thighs, hamstrings, IT bands, hip flexors, and glutes for a minute. Next, he hugged his knee to his chest to internally rotate his femur, then placed his foot down on his quad and pushed down gently on his right knee for external rotation, going back and forth until he finished off the right leg by taking his femur to the full range of motion, rotating a couple of times one way and then the other.
