~Emily~
After third period, I have a free. I decided to go to the toilets to check out my face.
As I get in there, I walk straight up to a mirror and look at my lip.
I sense someone standing behind me, so I look over my shoulder in the mirror."Shit!" I say shocked as I turn round. "What the hell Charly. Why are in here?" I ask him.
"Why did you do that?" He asks.
"Do what?" I ask confused.
"You know perfectly well what I mean."
I think for a second.
"Wait... You think I gave your sister that picture?" I ask him.
"Yeah. And if you do anything else, you'll have me on your back. And you'll have more than just a bust lip when I'm finished with you." He hissed.
"Wha- what do you mean?" I ask him my voice shaky. He walks over to me and behind me.
He moves some of my hair from of my shoulder and rests his head on it. I can feel his breath against me as he whispered in my ear."You'll find out soon enough."
And with that, he walks out.
I stand there still in shock. What the fuck is happening today? Why do they both think it was me that gave Steph that poloroid?I walk out of the bathroom still shaken up, and decide to go to the dark room.
I knew Tyler would probably be I there, so I thought I'd go in and say 'hi'."Does nobody ever see the red light?" I hear Tyler sigh as I open the door.
I chuckle slightly.
"Sorry." I say.
"Oh hey. Sorry, I didn't notice it was you." He tells me.
I smile at him.
His friend Cyrus was also with him.
"No worries." I tell him. "Oh hey Cyrus."
"Hey." Cyrus says. "You're still up to tonight right? Kenzies really excited to finally be able to bring an actual friend home." He laughs.
"Uh yeah sure. What do you mean by an actual friend?" I ask him.
"Oh it's just that Kenzie usually had a hard time fitting in with people. Which is why she's always with me and my mates." Cyrus tells me.
"Oh. Well don't worry, I'll keep Kenzie company. She seems really sweet. It's not every day I find a girl as kind as her. She's one of a kind." I tell him.
He nods and smiles at me. "Sure is."I lean on the table that's clear, and watch Tyler with what he's doing.
"Thanks for sticking up for me against them jocks this morning." Tyler says.
"Don't worry about it. I'm always seeing you being harassed by them, and I'm sick of my brother thinking that he can you treat you and others like a piece of shit." I tell him.
"Your brother?" Cyrus asks me.
"Mhm." I hum. "Monty." I tell them both.
"Montgomery De La Cruz. He's your brother?" Cyrus asks me.
I nod my head. "Y-yeah."After I said that, Tyler looked as if he'd seen a ghost.
"Tyler you okay?" I ask him.
"Yeah. Yeah I just. I just don't feel to good. I'm of to the toilet, but I'll meet up with you guys after school." He tells us.We both nod our heads and say our goodbyes as he leaves the room.
"Is Tyler okay?" I ask looking at Cyrus.
"Yeah I'm sure he'll be fine. He hadn't been feeling to good over the weekend. Probably picked up a stomach bug or something and it's finally kicking in." He tells me.He was obviously lying through his teeth. I could tell from a mile away. Cyrus is not a good lier, I can tell you that.
"You don't have to lie ya know. Just because Monty's my brother we share the same DNA. Dickhead-ness doesn't run through the family." He tell him laughing slightly.
"It's not my story to tell. Sorry Emily." He tells me.
I smile as him. "It's fine." I say.We walk out of the dark room together, and start heading to out last period of the day. We both have p.e., yay.
"Also, dickhead-ness?" Cyrus laughs playfully pushing me slightly.
"Well you've got your asshole-y-ness. Why can't I say dickhead-ness?" I say laughing.
"Asshole-y-ness?" He laughs again."Hey Em. Didn't know you are into freaks!" Bryce shouted over to me as he saw me and Cyrus laughing and having fun.
"What's his fucking problem?" Cyrus asks me, clenching his fists together.
"C'mon, just ignore him Cy. He's not worth it." I tell him.I hold his fist as I drag him down the hall. I can feel his fist become loose, so I hold his hand properly, until we've got out of view of Bryce.
When we can no longer see him, I let go of his hand."Why does he make you so angry? Why did Tyler ditch when I mentioned who my brother is?" I asked him.
He shrugs.
"C'mon. I've got a right to know if my brothers done something to you. Then maybe I might be able to help. I know we've only just met properly today, but you can trust me ya know." I tell him."I've got so many questions buzzing around my head. I just wanna know why you hate my brother so much. Why Tyler does. Clay. Tony. Hannah. Jess. Alex. God, even Zach and Justin hates him, and they used to be connected at the hip." I say.
"Look Em. I'm sorry, but you're better of asking Tyler. I hate your brother because he's just an average jock. Doesn't give a shit about anyone. Makes out he's some kind of superior race. Does things to people that they don't like. Tyler doesn't like him for the same reasons. And for one more reason. You're better of asking him why. Or your brother. But I doubt he'll tell you." Cyrus tells me.
I nod. "Okay. But I've gotta get to last period. Don't wanna be late to p.e." I tell him.
"Yeah see ya tonight!" He calls.
I nod and continue walking to the girls locker room.
