Dinner

~Emily~

Me, Kenzie, Cyrus and Tyler walk into the kitchen of Kenzie and Cyrus's house.

"Hey dad!" Kenzie walks up to her dad kissing him on the cheek.
"Hey Kenz. How was school today?" He asks her.
"Good thanks dad." She tells him.
"Hey Cyrus. How was your day?" He asks him.
"Meh. Normal I guess." He replies.
"Tyler! I haven't seen you for a while." He says finally turning round from the stove.
"Oh hey. Yeah I've just been super busy with school and stuff. You know how it is."
Their dad nods.
"Dad I'd like you to meet Emily. Emily, my dad." Kenzie says introducing me to her dad.
"Nice to meet you sir." I say shaking his hand.
"Nice to meet you to Emily. Please just call me Will." He tells me.
I smile at him.
"Dad is it okay for Em to stay here for the weekend?" Kenzie asks Will.
"Yeah sure." He replies.
"Yessss!" Kenzie shouts dragging out the 's'.
"Tyler, will you be staying as well?" Will asks.
"Er yeah. Me and Cy's got a project we've gotta finish for school." Tyler tells him.
"Yeah. Looks like it's gunna take all weekend." Cyrus explains.
"Right then. You two had better get right on with it then. I'll call you when dinners ready." He tells them.

Cyrus and Tyler both make their ways to what I presume to be Cyrus's bedroom.

"Emily, are you okay with chicken curry, rice and vegetables?" Will asks me.
"Yeah I pretty much eat anything you put in front of me." I laugh.

This makes both Will and Kenzie to laugh as well.

"Sweet, well me and Em's gunna go up to my room now." Kenzie tells her dad.
"Sure. I'll call you when dinners ready." Her dad tells us.
"Okay.", She calls back down from half way up the stairs.

I begin to follow her to her bedroom.

"This is gunna be so much fun!" Mackenzie squeals.
"It seems as though you've never had a sleep over before." I laugh.
"Well... I haven't. I've never had a proper friend before." She tells me.
I give her a sympathetic smile. "Well... You have now!" I smile.

Me and Kenzie talk for a while, and pick a few films to watch after we've had our dinner.

"Wait... I was talking to Tyler and Cyrus earlier. About Monty..." I begin.
"De La Cruz?" Kenzie asks me.
"Yeah."
"Why would you be talking about him?" Kenzie throws me a disgusted look.
"Right. So I just wanted to tell you now, because I don't wanna become best friends with you and then fall out."
"Why? What is it?" Kenzie asks me looking worried.
"Monty. He's... He's my brother." I tell her.
"Monty... Montgomery. De. La. Cruz. Is. Your. Brother?" She asks me with a stop in between each word she says.
"Yeah... You gave me the exact same reaction of your brother." I kind of laugh.
"Yeah well neither of us really like him." She tells me.
"I know." I tell her. "So are we... You know. Still cool?" I ask her.
"Yeah of course! Why wouldn't we be? I mean, it's not your fault you ended up being his brother." She laughs.
"Yeah. I guess so." I laugh with her.

I really like these people, but I don't like the way they're talking about my brother... At least not until I find out why they all hate him so much.

We all ate dinner and it was absolutely delicious.
Me and Kenz are watching something random on the TV at the moment. We have no clue what it is, but it's quite funny.

I hear slight snores coming from Kenzie and notice that she's drifted of to sleep.
I pull out my phone and notice what time it is. 01:23am.
I didn't notice it was that late.
I carried on watching the show, and slowly drifted of to sleep myself.
