Emily was shocked. Although, she didn't want to tell Mackenzie about Tyler. It would destroy her.
It pains Emily to know what her own brother has done to her friend.
It would completely kill Kenzie to find out about it. As well as Cyrus.
They know Tyler way better than Emily. They've also hung around him for longer.
It's obvious that Kenzie has a crush on Tyler. Way more obvious than she thinks. It would break her.
It would break Cyrus.
They'd want revenge. Emily would. Emily does. But what the hell does she do when it was her own brother that did it!? It makes her sick.

As well as Emily having her own little crush on the school's most rebellious little punk. Cyrus. Her feelings for him only got stronger and stronger as the days turned into weeks, and the weeks turned into months. They started sneaking out in the middle of the night just to see each other. To talk about the littlest of things. To share opinions. They are best friends. Totally oblivious to the fact that one another have extremely strong feelings for each other.
Emily knows that after what happened with Clay and Hannah, times the most important thing ever. You never know when someone's going to just unexpectedly get up and leave. You never know when the one you love the most in the world more than anything is just going to leave you. Leave you confused and dazed for months on end. Making you think what you could have done to stop it. What you could have done to help.

But sometimes the best ones have to go first. The weeds are sometimes picked out of the flower garden to let the prettiest ones have their fair share to shine, but when you least expect it, the most beautiful flower in that garden, will be picked and it will be gone forever. And you won't know what to do with yourself.
