The spring flings coming up soon and I really need to try and get my brother with Emily. He needs to ask her out because I know for a fact she will not ask him.

"Hey Kenz. What you day dreaming about?" Emily asks me, waking me up from my day dream.
"Oh nothing." I smile at her with a shrug.
"Mhm." She hums. "Sure you're not thinking about how to ask Tyler out for the spring fling?" She laughs taking a seat besides me in the kitchen.

Emily's been staying at our house literally all the time now.
She's told me, Cyrus and my dad about her home life, so we've practically taken her in. Me and Cy's also told her about our life. How we see a therapist since out mum left. We're all very supportive for each other.

"How did you-" she cuts me of.
"It's so obvious. You literally stare at him whenever him and Cyrus are hanging out here, or whatever chance you get at school." She laughs.
"Yeah, yeah. Well what about you and Cy? You seem all close all of a sudden." I smirk.
"Oh hush. He probably doesn't even like me back that way." She tells me.
"So you do like him!?" I squeal jumping out of my seat.
"Oh my God Mack! Shut up!" She laughs at my sudden mood change.
"Sorry. But you'd both be the most adorable couple, like ever!" I laugh jumping up and down.

"Who would?" Cyrus asks walking into the room we were currently in and taking a seat next to Emily. As he did this, my heart secretly melted.
"Oh, um, nobody..." I stutter.
"Yeah... Okay." He says looking at me a bit off. "Anyways... Kenz can I talk to you for a sec please." He asks.
"Yeah sure." I smile.
"Erm like... In private?" He says but it comes out as more of a question.
"Oh, er I'll just go upstairs. I need to get ready for school anyways." Emily tells us heading upstairs to my bedroom.

He smiles at her, and as soon as we hear my bedroom door shut;

"Kenz I really need you help!" Cyrus whisper shouts with pleading eyes.
"Oh Cy. What've you and Ty done now?" I ask him taking a seat in front of him.
"Oh it's... It's nothing like that..." He tell me.
"So, what is it?" I ask him.
"I... Erm... I..." He starts to stutter out nervously.

I've never seen my brother this nervous before.

"Cy spit it out." I tell him.
"Erm..." He takes a deep breath in. "IwannaaskEmtogototheSpringFlingwithme." He spits out all in one sentence.
"And I have to decither that cause I have no clue what you just said." I laugh.
"I wanna ask Em to go to the Spring Fling... With me..." He tells me slower this time, so I could actually tell what he was saying.
"Seriously!?" I whisper shout.
"Y-yeah..." He starts to stutter again.
"Oh my God! That's amazing! Ask her! She totally likes you! Go for it!" I say in the most encouraging voice that I could.
"What? Really? I mean... You'd be okay with it? Because she's your best friend... I don't want it to be weird..." He tells me.
"No I'm perfectly fine with it Cy. She has a huge crush on you and you've just told me you like her back. So whatever makes you happy. And who else am I going to trust to go out with my best friend than my brother?" I tell him whilst emphasizing the word 'huge'.
"Thank you so much Mack!" He says giving me a hug.
"Don't you dare hurt her though!" I tell him in a warning tone.
He gives me a little smile. "I wouldn't dream of it."

"Dream of what?" Em asks coming into the kitchen and resting her head on my shoulder. "What? What are you smiling at?" She asks me flicking my arm.
"Would you like to go to the Spring Fling with me?" Cyrus blurts out.

I could feel her jaw drop on my shoulder.

"Seriously?" She asks him sounding really shocked and surprised.
"Y-yeah... I mean... You don't have to if you don't want to. I mean who'd wanna go with m-" she cuts him of.
"I'd love to go with you Cy Cy!" She laughs giving him a giant hug.
"This is literally the cutest moment of my life! Two of my favourite people in the whole wide world going to a dance together!" I saw in awe.
"Aw Kenz." Em says pulling me towards them and we all share a group hug.

~Emily~

"Would you like to go to the Spring Fling with me?" Cyrus asks me.

My heart stopped, whilst I actually processed what he had asked me before pumping at 100mph faster than what it was doing before.

"Seriously?" I ask him in pure shock.

He then started rambling on before I cut him of.

"I'd love to go with you Cy Cy!" I laugh pulling him into a hug.

~Nobody's p.o.v.~

From that moment onwards, Emily was the happiest girl alive.
Little did she know, it was all going to be crashed down by one little thing that she brushed to the back of her mind.
