8 months later:

~Ani's p.o.v.~

"Ani. Be good, listen in lessons and no getting into trouble or being nosy."
"Mum would I ever?" I ask her.
"Yes. I know you Ani." She tells me.
"Fine. I promise." I tell my mother, giving her a kiss on the cheek.

I get my bag together and head out to liberty high to start my first day there.
I've already heard so many rumors about it and I'm not sure I'm going to like it here. Yeah I like the gossip. What highschool girl doesn't? Do I like being apart of everything? Yes. Because it's interesting. And like my mother said. I'm nosy.
Although I've just moved over here from England and... Well let's say. It's a bit different being over here than it is back in England.

As I head into the school yard, all eyes are on me. A boy runs up to me. A skinny brown haired boy to be exact.

"Hey. You're new right?" He asks.
"Yeah. I'm the new girl." I tell him. "Ani." I hold out my hand for him to shake.
"Clay. Nice to meet you Ani." He tells me.
"You too. But I er... I should get going." I tell him. "Nice talking to you though." I smile and walk of into the school building.

So that was my first day at Liberty High. I got a new friend called Clay who was pretty nice. An was also a geek like me. He even gave me a lift home. Only to be bottom of the hill though. My mother would freak if she saw him.
New school, new friends. What more could anyone ask for?

~Emilys p.o.v.~

"So we're all going to be taking it in turns of looking after Tyler. I've even made a schedule for each lesson he has and who will be looking after him and who he'll be walking to and from lessons with. Then what we'll all be doing after school to help him." Clay tells us all.
"So how long do we have to do this for?" Cyrus asks.
"Until he gets better." Clay tells him.

We all nod.

"But there is one thing." Clay starts.
"What?" Alex asks.
"There's no one to take him home on a Wednesday." He tells us looking at me.

I notice him looking at me.

"Don't look at me. He probably trusts me as much as he trusts my brother. Which is like 0.000000000001." I tell him.
"Em. You have to. There's no one else to do it." He tells me.
"Okay so you're wanting me, to take him home in my car? The sister of his rapist? He's so going to trust me isn't he?" I ask him. "It's okay with me just looking after him in lessons because theirs people around. You even heard him yourself Clay. He's only okay with that because theres teachers and other people there." I start to babel on.
"Emily you're going to be fine. Tyler already said he'll be fine. We just had to ask you?" Alex told me.
"Oh. Are you sure? I mean-" Clay cuts me of.
"Extremely sure." He nods.
"Okay then." I nod.
"Okay. So that's everything then." Clay tells us all.

Everything had been a bit off after the attempted school shooting.
Apart from everyone being way closer than before.
It felt like we could all actually confide in one another. Well apart from Zach. He seemed to be blocking everyone out.
Nobody had been speaking for a while and then Clay brought us all together so that we can all look after Tyler.
I'd only been speaking to Tony before that. And I think I had been giving them all a bad impression, seen as I'd been spending nearly all of my time with my brother and his friends.
I still don't talk to Cyrus, Mackenzie and their gang. Only Clay, Tony and on the of time Alex, Jessica and Justin. I usually see Justin at Clays and I usually only go to his with Tony. Or in the hallways I see Jessica with Alex and Justin. That the only time I talk to Justin, Jessica and Alex.
And then I never speak to Cyrus, Mackenzie and their gang. I just see them in the halls and quickly then the other way. Usually causing me to be late to my lessons because j have to go the long way around, or I bump into my brother Monty and his friends. Causing me to hang out with them for a while.
Well untill homecoming anyway. That's when I also stoped hanging round and started a listing my brother as much as possible.

"Em. You okay?" Cyrus asks me pulling me out of my thoughts.

It was just me and him left sitting at the table. Him being directly Infront of me.

I nodded my head. "Uh yeah. Why?" I ask him.
"Well we havnt spoken since the homecoming game." He reminds me.
"Correct." I say.
He takes a minute. As if he's thinking about what he is going to say next.
"How's your leg? Erm and everything else?" He asks me.
"Better. I can drive now if you haven't noticed. I don't feel useless anymore by Tony having to give me a lift to places all the time." I laugh. "How's your head?" I ask him.
"Better." He nods.

We both sit there for another few minutes. Just sitting there in silence. Like we didn't know what to say or we did but didn't want to.

"Why did you do it?" Cyrus asks.
"Do what?" I ask acting confused but I knew perfectly well what he was talking about.
"The fight. At homecoming. We did you step in?" He asks me.

My phone starts to ring and I look down noticing it's Tony.

"Sorry Cyrus I've gotta take this. I'll speak to you another time though." I tell him walking out of Monet's where our meeting place was.

I step out of the cafe and notice Tony's car parked up outside.

"How do you do it?" I ask him with a smile walking up to the car and getting in.
"Do what?" He smirks.
"You always seem to know when I'm feeling uncomfortable or awkrawd or in a situation that I can't get myself out of and you always get me out of it. How do you do it? How did you even know?" I ask him raising an eyebrow.
"Magic maybe?" He laughs and starts driving of.

He puts on the radio.

"So how come you two aren't talking? Weren't you a thing?" Tony asks me.
"Who? Me and Cyrus?" I ask him.
He nods keeping his eyes on the road.
I shrug. "We went to the Spring fling together. As well as the homecoming game. I wouldn't say we were ever a thing though." I tell him.
"You both seemed pretty close though." He tells me raising an eyebrow taking a quick glance at me before putting his eyes back on the road.
I quickly change the subject.
"It's hard to find where you're now without your Mustang." He tell him with a frown.
"Sometimes you just have to remove things from your life. And that was one of them." He shrugs.
"But why that? Your first love?" He ask him.
He shrugs. "Just felt like a change i guess." He tells me.
"Who'd you give it to?" I ask him.
"I sold it to another mechanic. A friend of my dad's actually. Been in the business longer than him." He tells me.

I nod. He drives me back to my house.

"Need anything just call me." He tells me and drives of.

I take a deep breath before walking in.

"Why were you with that faggot?" Monty asks me as I walk up to my bedroom.

"He's my friend. Why can't you just leave me and my friends alone!?" I shout at him slamming my bedroom door shut.

He's been like this ever since Bryce Walker went missing. To be honest with you I hope they find him dead. That is if they were to ever find him.

"What the hell are you two arguing about now!?" Mt dad asks me charging into my room.
"My friends." I tell him in a calm manor.
"Well I'm fricking sick of it! You do it everyday!" He slurs out his words.

He's obviously been drinking. He goes to throw a punch at me but he stumbles and falls to the floor.
He mumbled to himself as he starts going unconscious.

"No wounded your brother left us. Useless pieces of shit. You and your brother. And then you hanging out with that fag. And them the rest of your friends. Fucking useless. Both of you." He mumbles.

I stand on one of his hands hearing crunching as I put pressure on it.

"Fuck!" He shouts.

I'd obviously broken his hand.

"You little shit!"
"It's not so fun when it's you that's getting hurt is it?" I spit back at him storming out of the house.

My little feet take me back to school. Specifically back onto the football field. I make my way over to the bleachers and take a seat looking out onto the giant field.
