PERSEUS' POV
Nung tinawag ako sa unahan, sobrang kaba agad ang nararamdaman ko. I don't know where is this going about, hinayaan ko na lang si Mom na iintroduce ako kasi baka sa akin nya ipapamana ang kompanya heheh.
Hindi ako mapakali habang katabi ni Mom kaya naman patingin-tingin ako kay Andromeda. Kinakabahan ako because it's obviously my first time to face such a crowd. Good thing Andromeda's smile relaxed me a bit.
"Everyone, since you'd already knew my son. I would like to introduce you now, my future-daughter-in-law..."
Wait. What daughter in law? Ano nga ba iyon?
Ah yeah. I remembered what Manang said earlier.
"Manang pakidagdag ng upuan sa mesa saka ng plate ha. I invited my girl to come over here." nakangiti kong sambit sa kanya.
"Ohhh. Ang manugang pala ng Madam." She answered
"What is manugang?" tanong ko naman
"Hahaha daughter-in-law in english, Perseus. You know the one who will kasal to you." sabi nya na may pagsagot pa sa english.
Napatango na lamang ako sa sinabi ni Manang. Ok, noted manugang is equals to daughter-in-law.
Maybe, Mom will introduced Andromeda here. Tama nga pala, dapat pinagberet ko din sya para match kami.
"Jane Constantino! The daughter of the ABAKA company's owner also known as my partner in business and I'm sure that this upcoming wedding will strengthen the bond of our partnership." she said as she invites Jane in the front.
What? I feel so confused now. Wala namang sinasabing ganito si Mom and she knows how I feel about Andromeda.
Nilinga ko ang mga tao at nakita sa pinakalikod si Andromeda saktong nagtama naman ang tingin namin but she immediately looks away...
As they all shouted congratulations, my Andromeda vanished from the crowd.
Lumakas ang kabog ng dibdib ko ng hindi ko na sya makita kahit saan. Mabilis akong umalis sa harapan saka nagsimulang tumakbo.
"Perseus! Come back here!" habol ni Mom but I don't mind her.
I head towards the kitchen, dining area, upstairs and everywhere in this house to look for her but I haven't found her.
Nang pabalik na ako muli sa living room hinarangan ako ni Mom.
"Where are you going?" she asked
"I'm looking for—"
"Andromeda? She runs away and if you're going to chase her, you'll just get lost." she mouthed
"P-pero..."
"No but's Perseus. Now let's go back to the front and continue the—"
"Ayoko." pagputol ko sa sasabihin pa nya.
"Perseus!" maotoridad nyang pagsabi sa pangalan ko.
"No! Hindi ako magpapakasal kahit kanino except for my Andromeda. Stop making decisions for me. Siguro nga wala pa ako masyado alam but I have this one thing that I am sure here in my heart and that's my love for Andromeda. I'm sorry if I'm going to be a jerk to say this to you but I don't really give a damn about your business or your company. Baka nakakalimutan mo na kahit pinatawad na kita, you can't change the fact that I almost got killed because of your works." naiinis kong sabi sa kanya.
After saying all those words, I didn't bother to wait for her reply. Lumabas ako sa mansion, hoping that I can still manage to catch Andromeda but there are no signs of her.
Kinuha ko naman sa bulsa ko ang cellphone ko at agad na dinial ang number nya pero walang sumasagot.
I keep dialing but for the nth time there's still no answer so I decided to leave a message for her.
Gusto ko sana sya puntahan sa apartment nya but I don't remember its address.
Nag-online ako para tingnan sya but she was active 4 hours ago.
Buti na lang nakita kong online si Leica kaagad akong nagprivate message sa kanya.

Buti na lang nabanggit nya nung nagmeet-up kami

I left it on seen saka nagbantay na ng taxi.
Sinabi ko na agad sa taxi driver ang address saka hinarurot ito.
"Naku sir, gabi na a." he said while looking at me on the mirror
"Emergency po. Buti nga po napadaan kayo ng gantong oras e." sabi ko naman.
"Hay nako. Muntik pa nga ako maka-aksidente sir dahil may bigla na lang na tumawid. Kung alam nyo lang buti naagapan ko ang paghinto." kwento nito.
"Lucky." matipid kong sabi sa kanya.
After that, the trip remain silent hanggang sa hininto na nya sa tapat ng isang bahay.
"Thank you." sabi ko sabay abot ng bayad
Buti na lang natutunan kong mag-ipit ng pera sa case ng phone ko. Jane taught me that.
Jane is actually nice and I'd knew her for three days kaso walang makakapalit kay Andromeda kahit ilang beses pa mabagok ang ulo ko.
Pagkatapat ko sa pinto sunod-sunod ang naging pagkatok ko.
"Hey my Andromeda.." na may matching pagtawag pa sa kanya
Kaso madilim sa loob. Lagi naman syang nagbubukas ng ilaw kahit tulog nga yon bukas pa rin ang ilaw which means hindi sya dito dumiretso.
If she didn't come home. Saan naman kaya sya pupunta?
I am really worried about her.
I've texted her again but this time I sent many messages for her consecutively hoping that she'll notice her phone.
Pero wala talaga e.
