Chicken Fight

"COWABUNGA!" Marty and Alex yelled out as they cannonballed in the cool water, the circus was having a performance in Brazil and everyone was having a break at the beach and having fun. "Aw man! That was a good one! Lets do it again!" Marty said it excited while Alex pushed his soaking wet mane off his eyes while laughing "Hey guys" the two turned around to see Gloria and Gia sunbathing on a rock.

"Hey ladies" Marty said but Alex was frozen when his eyes spotted Gia, her body lying on the flat surface so he can see her spots, her paws under her chin like she might fall asleep. Splash! "Alex! Get out of dream town bro!" Next thing the lion knew was water splashed on him by his zebra friend, Alex glared at the zebra but his eyes went back to Gia who giggled at the lion, melting the lion's anger at the zebra who was now being scolded by Gloria. Alex smiled sheepishly to the jaguar rubbing the back of his mane.

Marty notice his best friend and the jaguar and a sneaky idea came up "Hey you girls should join us for a swim" "What!" Alex said panicked but the girls were up to it "Sure" they both said as they got up on their feet, Gloria got in first while Gia stretched still on all fours, Alex approached the jaguar with a paw out "You want some help to get in the water Gia? I can help if you..." Gia dove into the water so fast before Alex could finish, he shook his head and turned around, Gia emerged form the surface her paws smoothing down the wet fur on her neck. Alex felt his breath get stuck. Gia looked beautiful. Her wet fur and the sun made her shimmer, the tiny droplets dripping from her soaking ears and chin were stunning.

She caught him staring and he turned around quickly, rolling his arm pretending to stretch but the jaguar wasn't fooled and stared at him oddly but she shook it off and smiled at him finding it funny. Alex stared at her and smiled back shyly but the moment was interrupted when a ball hit his head "You guys gonna play or you gonna stare like that?" "MARTY!" Alex yelled at the zebra growling a bit but, despite Gloria warning him to quit it, Marty wasn't stopping.

"I bet we can beat you two cats at...wait for it...chicken fight!" The zebra said excited as he flapped his arms to mimic chicken flapping. Alex glared at the zebra again, his teeth clenched and snarling he was this close to retracting his claws if Gia's voice hadn't caught his attention "Ha!" The lion's ears perked at the boldness in his partner's voice and it made him face her, seeing her fierce smile.

"If we can handle the trapeze, then we can handle a chicken fight" she said walking to Alex's side and placing her paw on his shoulder making the lion blush "Gia trapeze is nothing like chicken fight but your on" "Come on Alex! Let's show this zebra what happens when he messes with cats" she told him as they looked at their opponents and Alex nodded with a confident smile.

After going over the rules and all that, the two opposing teams got ready. Marty was on top of Gloria because there was no way he was going to carry a hippo on his shoulders and Gia on top of Alex. "So all I have to do is push him off?" She asked him looking down at his face "Basically yeah but you have to be really aggressive" "ah got it. Try not to make me fall Alex" she told him turning her to Marty with confidence.

"Ok ready set chicken fight!" Marty yelled and their partners moved towards eachother. Gia and Marty clasped their paws or in Marty's case hooves and tried to push eachother "You're going down Gia!" "In your dream Stripes!" Gia told him fiercely with a strong push that almost made the zebra fall off the hippo, Alex laughed loving how fierce Gia was at the zebra. Marty pushed her back and Gia was this close to falling off she could see the water.

Alex saw the trouble "Hang on Gia!" His eyes were on the zebra's striped stomach and a sneaky idea came up as Alex chuckled silently, letting one paw off of Gia's leg he tickled Marty. The zebra felt it and started laughing but that didn't stop the hippo "Caught that out Alex!" Gloria swatted his paw away but it gave Gia enough time to give Marty a strong push that sent him to the water with Gloria too.

"Alex we won!" "Yes!" The two felines cheered Alex making a fist bump as Gia climbed down his back. "We did it!" "High five Gia!" Alex high fived Gia, their ears perked at Marty complaining on how they cheated but that didn't bother the cats too much. "That was fun!" "You were really good Gia! We couldn't have won without you" he said punching her shoulder lightly but Gia stared at him confused before rasing an eyebrow with a smile "What?" "Alex this was a team effort. If you hadn't distracted Marty, I would never have pushed him off, so thank you" she said punching his shoulder back and Alex smiled at her touched that she was giving him credit in their game "Thanks. Another round?" He asked her smirking "Your on and this time you verse me lion" she told him, her experssion matching his before they went to get Marty and Gloria back.
