Spooky Surprise

Tonight is Halloween and the circus is having a halloween performance tonight. Alex and his friends thought it be fun if they did special performances for special occasions and holidays, they had the whole thing halloween theme. The big top had more spookier colors and looked like a jack-o-lantern with bat wings.

Everyone put on some neon colors like green, black, purple, white and oranger for some spooky looks well not too spooky to scare the kids. The circus even decided that at the end of the show, they would let the kids get candy for free before going home.

Everyone was having fun...well except for two cats. "Gia! Giiiiiaaaa!" Where are you?" Alex called out, looking for the jaguar. Alex had scared Gia for a spooky halloween prank but she was scared so badly she accidently fell into a pumkpin stand the penguins set up. Alex felt so bad as he recalled what happen.

Flashback

Gia was walking by some of the booths set up so she could look at them. What she didn't know was Alex was hiding behind one of the booths, waiting for the jaguar to come "Just a little closer" he whispered as she got near the booth he was hiding behind. It was a face paint booth and Gia looked at it curiously, her paw grabbed a green glitter paint but the moment she took it off the stand, Alex came out.

"BOO!" "AH!" Gia stepped back fast and spooked. She tripped over her feet and fell into the pumpking stand "Gia!" Alex said as he got out of the booth and ran to the jaguar, he didn't think his scare would scare Gia that much. "Are you ok?" He asked her worried as his eyes scanned the damage, the booth stand was smashed and so were the pumpkins and Gia was covered in pumpkin seeds and goop but she didn't seem hurt.

"Yes" Gia groaned rubbing her head as she stood up, Alex held her arm to help her stand up but Gia pulled her arm away from him coldly and Alex stared at her surprised. "Alex why would you do this? If you think this is funny, it's not!" She told him hurt while glaring at him and Alex tried to say something but Gia already stormed off leaving Alex to look at the mess he made "aw geez"

Flashback ended

Alex felt so bad, he didn't mean it. "I didn't mean for this to happen. I thought a small spook would be fun for Halloween. I didn't think Gia would be so upset" Alex told himself as he wander out of the circus and near the train. His ears all of a sudden twitched up when they heard a sound, it was coming from behind one of the train carts.

"Gia?" He asked hoping it was her and not something else, something scary. He slowly approached the cart, he gulped in fear as he got closer and closer and...

"ROAR!" "AAAAH!" Alex jumped back spooked and landed on the ground, he scrambled back on his feet and ran for it, hiding behind a barrel. "Haha! Got you!" "Huh?" Alex peeked at the barrel confused and he saw Gia with her paws out like she was gonna scratch him. Turns out Gia was hiding behind the cart and the moment Alex got close, she leaped out and roared at him.

Alex calmed down from his sudden spook and he smiled in relief to see it was Gia "Good one Gia. You really got me there" he commented her as he approached her. He rubbed the back of his head nervously, looking away from her "Listen Gia about what happen..." "It's ok" Alex didn't get to finish his apology and he stared at Gia surprised.

She looked at him and smiled reassuringly "I heard everything you said before I spooked you. I was just a little embarrassed but I can't stay mad at you and beside tonight's halloween" she told him as she hugged him resting her head on his shoulder. Alex froze up at that moment, his eyes looked at her blushing.

He didn’t wanna seem cold or anything so he manage to summon up the courage to pat her back, that's close enough. "Plus it was worth seeing you get spook" she added and Alex laughed, his nervousness melting away.

The two parted from their hug but Gia held to Alex's paw and Alex smiled at her "Um you know there's still some halloween snacks left. Would you like to get some?" He asked her nervously and Gia giggled at his odd behavior, it was kinda cute. "Sure" she told them as the two went back to the big top.
