Spicy Sushi! 🍱

It was lunchtime and everyone was finishing up rehearsals to go eat. After the zoosters became the new circus owners, they decided to update the food here with help from the penguins and got a buffet in the circus with delicious food. There was even some food the circus had never even seen or heard of before but everyone was excited to try it.

Gia entered the tent, which the zoosters named it the Bounce Ball Buffet, and her nose caught the all kinds of delicious smells of the food. Her eyes went over to some of the animals who were getting the food, even Vitaly was trying some of the new food.

The jaguar walked over to the buffet table and she awed at all the strange and delicious looking food, all hot and fresh. Gia couldn't wait to try the food. When the circus was going bad, all they would eat was borscht, dry hay and raw meat. The whole circus was happy to have the menu changed.

Gia was walking, looking at the food curiously wondering what she should try first until she bumped into someone. "Oof! Sorry" she apologized and saw it was Alex she bumped into. Alex smiled at her assuringly "Don't worry about" he assured her as he put something on his plate.

Gia stared at the food he was putting in his plate and eyed it puzzled and curious. Alex was putting on some sushi in his plate.

"What are you eating?" She asked him curiously. "Oh it's sushi" he told her chill. "Sushi?" She said it confused. "Have you ever tried sushi before?" He asked her, noticing her confusion. Gia shook her head "A lot of the food here I've never seen before" she told him and Alex stared at her surprised.

When Alex found out how bad the food was here, he and his friends felt bad for their circus friends that they never tried anything delicious and fresh. Alex then smiled at her and had an idea. He picked up a plate and handed it the jaguar. "How about you try this sushi? You can come sit with me and I'll explain" he told her and he walked off.

Alex sat down with his friends and the jaguar joined him with sushi on her plate. "So all the sushi look different from eachother. Does that mean they are different flavors?" She asked puzzled. Alex nodded and grabbed a chopstick, picking up the sushi and holding it to her. "Yeah. This one is salmon with cheese cream and avocado" he told her.

Gia sniffed the sushi, her ears perked at the strange new scent of fish and cheese cream. Gia opened her mouth and ate the sushi. Her eyes widen and her ears perked up and she smiled, her taste buds tingled at the new delicious taste.

"Mmm! This is so good!" She said amazed and swallowed the sushi. Alex chuckled at her reaction. "I can't wait to try all the other flavors!" She said excited and looked at the sushi. She grabbed one of them with her paw and threw it in her mouth, one after another. "I probably might get a second plate" she told him as she kept eating the sushi.

Alex stared at her surprised at this side of her. But he reminded himself she had never tried food like this before and he chuckled at her, deciding to let her enjoy this and he went to eat her sushi.

"I wonder how the sushi would taste like of I dip it in this. What's it called?" She asked but Alex's mouth was full of sushi to talk so Marty answered her. "Oh that's wasabi" he answered for her.

Alex's eyes popped open and he almost choked on it. He swallowed it forcely and looked at Gia's plate to see if he heard right. He gasped in shock and his eyes widen when he saw the jaguar put a large scoop of wasabi on her plate. Taking a little wasn't so bad but taking a huge bite of wasabi was mega spicy!

Gia dipped her sushi in the wasabi, taking a huge dip and brought it to her mouth, the jaguar unsuspecting of what was coming. "Gia wait! That wasabi is-!" Alex tried to warn her, waving his hand no but the jaguar had popped the sushi in her mouth.

"Spicy" Alex finished nervously. Gia's chewing suddenly slowed down to a stop and her smile turned into a puzzled frown. Suddenly, Gia's eyes widen huge and she swallowed the food.

"Um..." Gia said, suddenly feel a spicy taste kicking in her mouth and it was getting hotter really fast like she swallowed fire. "Did...someone...turn the heat up?" She asked breathing heavy and Alex stared at her worried.

"That would be the wasabi. I tried to warn you" he told her and she started fanning her paws on her mouth to cool the spicyness, her ears flat in panic.

"Water...I need water! It's too spicy!" She said alarmed and got up and ran out of the tent. Alex gasped when she mentiomed getting water which would make the spicy worse and he quickly got up to get something to help her.

Gia ran outside breathing heavy and she saw a container of water. She quickly grabbed a cup and poured water in it, about to drink it. "Gia no!" Her ears perked at Alex's ugrent yell and she turned around and saw him, holding a cup of milk.

"Water makes it worse! Here" he warned her and quickly took the water from her and handed her a cup of milk. Gia quickly took a sip as Alex looked at her worried, feeling bad for the jaguar. So much for enjoying food.

Gia felt the spiceness dying down from the cool milk. Gia let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you Alex" she told relieved, taking another sip of the milk.

Alex rubbed the back of his mane "Sorry. I should've warned you about the wasabi" he told her feeling bad. Gia stared at him surprised he was tkaing the blame "What? No. Alex it was my fault. I should've asked you about the wasabi. Other than that, I liked the sushi" she told him assuringly, taking another sip from the milk. Alex smiled at her, glad she liked the food.

"That's good to hear" he told her pleased. "But next time, I should ask you first before trying it" she told him and Alex laughed at her comment and she laughed too.
