We Got This

This one takes place during the movie when the circus is on their way to London

For the first time in forever, the circus was really excited! They were on their way to London for their brand new performance. Marty, Stefano, Gloria and Melman were chatting about their upcoming performance while Alex listened and watched leaning on the wall smiling seeing his friends all hopeful and excited. His eyes then caught something from his right and his ears perked at seeing Gia sitting on some hay stack looking a little down. The lion stared at her concern and curious on what could upset the jaguar so much.

Gia had her eyes down on her paws thinking 'what if this new routine doesn't work? What if it goes wrong like with what happened to Vitaly? What if one of us gets hurt?what if...' her thoughts were interrupted when someone called her name. The jaguar's ears perked when she spotted the lion approaching her and taking a seat next to her "Hi um what's a what's up?" He said it nervously with an awkward smile.

Gia had one eyebrow up finding his behavior odd but she answered back "Hi Alex" Alex found her voice really down and he felt worried "So..." He thought how he can talk to her without messing up...he already messed up twice once in Rome and during rehearsals. "You excited about the performance in London?" "Not much really" the lion was taken back from this response. The high leaping and fearless jaguar not excited about the new performance? Something defiantly was bothering Gia.

"What why not?" Gia was silent her eyes not looking at him true he was the new circus leader and helped with the trapeze but she still wasn't sure if he should hear how she feels about some things just yet. Alex feeling less nervous places his larger paw on her small spotted one, regaining her attention and eye contact "Are you nervous for the performance we're doing?"

Gia sighed very sad "Not nervous. Scared" "of what?" "I'm scared that the performance might go wrong or someone gets hurt like with Vitaly" she finally said it to him and to Gia's relief, it actually felt good to say it to someone. "What? Come on Gia have a little faith, the rehearsals went pretty good and I think we can pull it off. Gia..." her amber eyes stared in his blue ones as he smiled at her reassuring and confident "We got this"

Gia felt relaxed and let out a sweet smile that Alex returned really happy to see her cheer up for the performance "Graci Alex. Thank you" he blushed and realized he still was holding her paw and quickly removed his paw and pretended to be yawning stretching so he wouldn't make Gia feel like she did something.

"Yawn well um we should get some rest before the big show" he told her nervously with an awkward smile "Goodnight Alex" she told him as he walked off but when he was sure she was asleep, he turned around finding the jaguar resting her head in her spotted paws on the hay stack all quiet but with a soft smile in her sleep. He smiled seeing her back to her usual self before going to sleep.
