Room Problem

It was nighttime and Marty was trying on some hoverboots, the zebra was pretty eager to use them. His friends not so much.

"Marty are you sure this is a good idea?" Melman asked nervously as he hid behind Gloria. "You already fly far when you're in the cannon" Gloria told him.

"Yeah but with these hoverboots, I can make some cool tricks in the-!" Marty started but when he was putting on one of the hoverboots, he accidentally turned it on and it flew out of his hooves, pulling the zebra and making him fall.

"Duck!" Alex yelled and he, Gloria and Melman ducked down. The hoverboot flew in a loopy loop and CRASH! It crashed into one of the train carts. Alex gasped in panic. "Marty!" He said upset.

"Don't worry. I'm ok" Marty said, standing up. "No Marty. Your hoverboot crashed into Gia's cart!" Alex said annoyed and quickly got up and ran to the cart. "Well thanks for checking up on me" Marty exclaimed annoyed.

Alex ran to her cart and opened it, his eyes scanned rapidly for the hoverboot. His ears twitched at some gears tweaking and spark sounds. He ran to the scource of it and found it near some haystack.

"Got it" he said relieved and picked it up. "Alex?" Gia's voice came up and Alex turned around startled. The jaguar was surprised to find a hole in her cart and she looked at the lion.

"Gia! Uh um. Listen um so Marty was trying on hoverboots and they accidentally crashed into your cart so um sorry" Alex said really quickly and nervously and he hid the hoverboot behind him.

Gia chuckled at him. "It's ok Alex. The hole not big so it shouldn't be so cold too much tonight" she assured him and Alex looked at the hole. It was a small size so you can put your hand through it.

Alex then noticed something. The cart was cold in the night. And there's more. There was barely any furniture. Just some haystack and hoops. There were some picture frames and some perfume but no shelves or stands or dressers.

"Hey Gia um where do you sleep?" Alex asked and Gia looked at him puzzled. "I sleep here" she answered him confused. "No I mean where do you sleep in the cart?" He asked again, trying to be more clear.

Gia's eyes widen in understanding "Oh I sleep on the haystack" she told him plainly and Alex stared at her surprised. The jaguar sat down as Alex stared at her.

"Why do you ask?" She asked curious why he would ask her a question like that. "It's just that you could sleep on a bed" he suggested to her. Gia yawned and stretched her arms. "It would be nice to sleep on a large soft bed instead on this small, itchy haystack every night. Yawn. Goodnight Alex" she told him as she lied down and started to fall asleep.

Alex breathed out upset, feeling sorry for Gia, his blue eyes stared at her as she slept. She fidgeted a bit, trying to be comfortable. He could see what she meant with trying to be comfortable.

Alex looked at the hole. It wasn't big but it could still let in cold air. Alex looked at the jaguar symphatically. He remembered how he and his friends got a cart, it wasn't exactly comfy.

Alex left Gia's cart with the hoverboot and headed to his friends...with an idea.

The next day...

Gia woke up and stood up, stretching her back. She groaned annoyed as she rubbed her sore back, brushing off the straw sticking to her fur. The jaguar got out of her cart but noticed the animals gather around something.

"Hmm?" She said puzzled and walked over to her friends. Gia approached one of the horse triplets "What's going on?" She asked puzzled.

Esmeralda turned to her and smiled big "Our friends are going to give our rooms and carts a makeover! Oh I can't wait to make my room pink! With pillows!" She explained excited and Gia stared at her confused.

"Makeover?" Gia said more confused but felt Alex had something to do with it. She pushed through the crowd to get a closer look and saw Alex and his friends with the penguins.

"Alright mammals. Right down your orders for furniture, paint and whatever stuff you can fill in those dull boxes of yours. And we'll take care of it" Skipper told them eagerly and high fived the penguins.

Gia approached Alex and the lion noticed her. "Alex what's going on?" She asked him confused yet curious.

"Remember how you told me you weren't comfy last night? Plus that Marty accidentally made a hole in your cart?" Alex reminded her, the last part he sounded embarrassed.

"Hey!" Marty yelled out offended. Alex ignored him and paid attention to Gia. "Well we thought maybe we could redecorate the rooms and carts completely. Give it a makeover" he explained to her and he picked up a tablet and held it to her.

Gia eyed it curiously and she looked at Alex. Alex smiled at her "You guys did a lot for us and you deserve the best. So here. I'll let you pick out the stuff and we'll buy it" he told her happily and Gia took the tablet from him.

She smiled at him "Graci Alex. But don't forget you are part of the circus too. So you should decorate too. And maybe we can help eachother out. It will be fun" she offered him and Alex stared at her surprised. He blushed pink and felt his heart beat.

"Um Alex?" She asked confused as she waved her paw in front of his face. Alex shook his face and snapped out of it. He smiled awkardly. "Yeah yeah that would be fun" he told her, rubbing the back of his mane as she giggled at him.
