The past week does not go by so well for everyone living in the loft. Sam is still trying to recover from that night and is barely sleeping, Ruby has been extra clingy and whiny, Maia's teething has gotten more intense and has been crying nonstop, and Kara is just trying to keep everything together. But she's doing the best she can. However, she is fortunate enough that they were able to snap into a routine fairly quickly.

At 7:00 AM, Kara grabs Maia, makes breakfast, and quickly eats. At 7:40 AM, Ruby and Sam meet up at the breakfast table and Sam watches over Maia while Kara gets ready for the day. And by 8:30, Kara is out the door and headed to the cafe. For the last 7 days that's exactly how the schedule has been but today however, things were a bit more hectic.

Maia was up at 6:26 AM, screaming her head off and whining about her aching teeth. The cries ended up waking the entire loft and put everyone in a grumpy mood. And because Maia would not stop crying, Kara ran extremely behind. But alas, at 9:00 Kara is just about to leave the house when suddenly the doorbell rings.

"Who is that?" She questions, walking up to the door. She swings it open and sees Lena Luthor standing there in a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt with her hood up, hair hanging low, and a pair of sunglasses. "Lena?"

"Kara... it's good to-"

"Why are you here?"

"Actually I wanted her here to talk... I'm sorry Kara I should've asked you but I figured you'd be at work and wouldn't care. I should've asked." Sam apologizes, feeling extremely guilty.

"It's okay Sam I understand. I got to get to going anyways. I'm taking Maia with me today so that you two can be alone." Kara states. Lena looks at the woman in utter disappointment as she let's her inside. She wanted to be able to see her daughter again. To hear her sweet giggles, to have her in her arms, and to hold her close and take in that precious baby smell of hers. Lena slides off her sunglasses and immediately, Maia gleams with excitement at the sight of her other mother. She makes grabby hands at Lena and carefully, Lena picks her up off the high chair.

"Mi! Mi!" Maia squeals.

"Hi there baby girl. Mommy missed you. Yes she did. I missed you so so so much." Lena smiles, kissing her chubby cheeks. Kara walks out and rage suddenly fills her body. How could she act like everything is normal? As if she didn't leave them? Like she's been here with Maia this whole entire time? She can't just waltz in here and pretend like everything is fine between them. She snatched Maia out of Lena's arms and swings the diaper bag onto her shoulder. The suddenness of the switch left Maia in shock and tears as she begs her Mama to let her go back to her Mommy.

"No! Mi... Ma!" Maia screams, reaching out for Lena.

"No babygirl Sam and Lena have grownup stuff to talk about." Kara coos, walking out the door and slamming it shut behind her. Lena could gear Maia's screams go in the distance as Kara walks out to the elevator.

"She hates me."

"She'll come around. It's Kara, I know she will." Sam informs, taking a seat.

"Okay enough about me. I'm here for you. How are you feeling?"

"Does he know you're here?"

"No. I said I was going out to lunch to persuade a new client. I'm all yours."

"He did it Lena... I never thought it'd get to that point. I thought he loved me."

"He does as fucked up as that is. He just wants you all to himself and Ruby took you away from him. That's why he's been threatening her."

"But Lena I can't lose her. She's my everything. I don't know what I'd do if-"

"Hey hey hey listen to me. It's going to be okay. I have been helping with an investigation with the FBI and we're going to shut Lex and this damn Luthor Legacy shit down. Sam you're family and I'll do whatever it takes to keep my family safe. He won't come after you or Ruby again I promise."
