"What is this? I thought I had a week, we agreed on this!? I want Detective Danvers." Lena fumes, taking a seat in the interrogation room.

"Both Danvers were removed from the case so looks like you're stuck with me and that was before you killed our number one suspect. You were supposed to bring him in alive Lena, that was the deal." Detective Sawyer scolds, taking a seat at the interrogation table.

"He was the one who was going to kill Kara. I couldn't let her just die." Lena pleads, as tears begin to form in her eyes.

"So you shoot him once in the leg, gets him off of her right?"

"Yes but then he grabs his gun and shoots at me."

"And that's when you shot him in the chest right?" Detective Sawyer asks. "Lena we know it only could've been you, your blood and fingerprints are the only DNA found on the gun."

Lena looks up at the detective with wide eyes. Did she just say that Lena's DNA was the only one found on the gun? She replays the moment back in her head and remembers the horror on Kara's face after she shoots Lex, her hands shaking while holding the gun with her blue gloves getting soaked in the oozing red blood.

"The gloves! Thank you God for keeping Kara out of this. I am going to tip the shit out of the stylist." Lena thinks to herself. Clearing her throat, she finally speaks up. "I want a lawyer."

"Are you sure? You know how it goes when you lawyer up."

"I said I want my lawyer."

"Fine, hang tight."

Detective Sawyer calls calls in Lena's lawyer and  she patiently sits there, thinking about the next move. Within twenty minutes, J'onn shows up into the interview room and takes a seat next to her, clearly exhausted from events of tonight.

"Lena I'm so sorry they-"

"It doesn't matter I've been through worse." Lena chuckles, sitting up a little straighter.
"But J'onn they don't know about Kara. They think I'm the one who killed him not her. It keeps her completely out of this."

"You sure?"

"Positive. Look at the DNA reports. They ran it and only found my blood on the gun. Kara wore gloves that night and they were soaked in my blood, so none of her fingerprints were on it."

"Okay this is good. You can make a self defense claim, softening your murder charge, and Kara won't be charged with anything."

"It's a win win."

"You know I've never seen someone this excited about being accused of murder?" J'onn chuckles, gathering his files together.

"You've clearly never worked for a Luthor before."  Lena smirks, twiddling her thumbs.

"You know I just came from Kara's place. She's a wreck."

"I know I should've told her."

"Yeah you should've but doesn't change anything now. She'll be okay, that girl is as strong as you. All I need you to do is keep your head on straight and make sure you keep all of those loose ends tied up. And the rest is up to me and the jury."

"Thank you J'onn for helping me. It means a lot."

"If Eliza believes in you then so do I."

Sitting on one side of the glass, Kara nervously buttons her shirt together, feeling all the wandering eyes on her. The door buzzes open and the inmates begin walking to their visiting stations. Fourth in line is Lena and her eyes immediately begin to tear up both out of joy and anger as she walks through the door. She is ecstatic to finally be able to see the face of the woman she loves the most but furious that she didn't give her any warning. Two weeks is two too many. But the more she looks at her face, the more puffy, dark, and dim her eyes become, causing her blood to boil throughout her veins. She didn't deserve any of this.
