Lex walks into the apartment building and finds his sister in bed, looking as if her soul has been sucked out of her. Her emotions are all over the place but her face shows as if nothing is inside. He has never seen Lena like this, even after all they've been through together. He, at the time, was in Japan meeting up with future investors for their new tech company when Lena had called him."She came too early Lex... I wasn't ready... she didn't make it."
Lex has never heard a voice so heartbroken and angry in all of his life. He flew home the second he could and visits her almost everyday. He wants to do what's best for his sister. Despite their differences and constant altercations, he loved his sister and seeing her distraught is a sight he didn't want to see.
"Come on little sister. We got to go." He sighs, dragging her out of bed. She slowly slides out and puts on a much nicer outfit. They make their way to their parent's beach house and Lena closely clutches the urn. Engraved on it is Mila Nadine Luthor, the name of the nonexistent babygirl who's ashes were inside. They walk out to the beach together and Lena opens up the urn, and scatters the ashes into the ocean.
"I was so excited to take her here like Mom and Dad used to. I loved it here. Things were always nice here."
"She'll be here Lena. I'm sure she will love it here." Lex smiles, rubbing his sister's shoulder. They stand together for awhile as they watch the waves come crashing in and out with the tides. After awhile, they make their way inside the beach house and Lena immediately heads off to bed, claiming she is too tired to stay up and chat. She slides into bed and immediately brings out her burner phone, texting Sam.
Lena: How is she?
Sam: Great! She's gotten so big in the last week already it's crazy. Kara seems to be adjusting quite well to motherhood
Lena: I knew she'd be a great mom
Sam: Yeah she is. I'm sorry you can't be here. We all miss you :(
Lena: Even Kara?
Sam: She's still figuring things out but she needs you more than she thinks she does
Lena: I'll visit soon I promise just need to get Lex off of my ass for a bit
Sam: I know just hurry
Lena: I'll try. Give Maia a big kiss for me
Sam: will do

6:30 AM, right on time. Maia let's out a loud shriek and Kara groans as she picks up the infant. She makes her way to the kitchen and heats up a bottle as she quietly hums a tune to keep Maia calm. Fortunately, Maia is a great sleeper. She only wakes up for her bottle and falls asleep almost instantly after she's done. She definitely developed Kara's appetite. Once the bottle is warm, she inserts it into Maia's mouth and rocks her around as she's drinking it.
Kara couldn't help but stare at her daughter's beauty. It's been almost a month and she still can't get over her daughter's perfection. The way bright blue eyes sparkled whenever she's happy. The small curls of dark raven hair that matched exactly to Lena's. The little crinkle between her eyebrows whenever she would yawn or hungry is almost too cute to bare.
"Good morning baby. Someone's hungry." Kara jokes, kissing her daughter's forehead. The doorbell rings and she slowly makes her way over, cautious of Maia and the bottle. She swings the door open and nearly let's go of the bottle when she finds her sister standing at the door.
"Kara hey." Alex beams, walking into the apartment. "You totally forgot I was coming didn't you."
"I did. I'm sorry."

FanficKara, First off I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I'm sorry for ending things with you the way I did, I'm sorry for not telling you, I'm sorry for suddenness of this all. I just didn't know what to do. And this of course does not justify my actions...
