"Ma!" Maia shrieks, from her crib.

Kara runs from the kitchen table and straight into her room, lifting Maia out of her crib. Kara plants a kiss on top of her forehead and feels the heat radiating off of her. Her fever has lasted almost a week now and her mood has been terrible. Always crying, super clingy, and worst of all, her giggles and smiles were gone.

"I know baby I know. Let's get you some food and medicine."

Kara mashes up a few bananas and hands her a bottle as she rocks her back and forth, planting constant kisses on her forehead. The doorbell rings and Kara immediately runs over to answer the door. There she meets a beaming Eliza Danvers and is quickly pulled into a hug. They have a quick catch up banter and slowly make their way towards the kitchen.

"Wait Eliza before we go inside, I have to tell you something."

"What is it honey?"

"Okay there's no easy way to say this so I'm just going to say it. I was dating Lena Luthor while you were going through the peak of the investigation and after. I know I should've told you but I was scared of how'd you react and I loved her Eliza I really did. She's not like the rest-"

"Kara sweetheart I know."

"Wait you knew?!?"

"Lena and I have had a really close relationship. She came to me for help when she was 16 asking for a few favors and might've let it slip that she had feelings for you."

"Wait Lena had a crush on me back then? I knew it! Wait but why didn't you say anything?"

"It wasn't my news to share."

"So you're not mad that we were together?"

"Of course not. I admire Lena and her strength and she-"

"I got her pregnant Eliza."

"You did what?!?"

"After our breakup, Lena was pregnant and she never told me. I found out that night Sam brought her over."

"How old is she?!"

"Almost six months."

"You've been hiding my own granddaughter from me for six months?!?" Eliza gasps, running into the kitchen. She locks eyes with the baby girl and immediately melted at the sight of her. She is the perfect combination of both Kara and Lena. Her bright blue eyes are identical to Kara's and she even has Kara's little crinkle in between her eye brows. She also has Lena's dark raven hair and her radiant smile that could light up any room.

"Ma!?"

"I'm sorry I'll finish feeding you." Kara chuckles, scooping the last bit of the bananas and lifting her out of the high chair. "And this is Grandma Eliza, can you say hi?" The baby does a quick wave and cuddles into Kara with her little bottle in her hands. "Eliza this is Maia Noelle Danvers. Lena named her after Dad."

Kara hands Maia off to Eliza and starts to make dinner for herself and Eliza. Once Maia is finally in bed, Eliza joins Kara our for dinner and have a quick catch up with work.

"So have you heard anything from Lena?" Eliza asks.

"No. She left a note when she sent Maia to me and almost $10,000 in cash but I haven't heard anything." Kara sighs, stabbing at her pasta. "I just don't know if I'm ready to have her come back. She left me with a shitty explanation and then just dumps Maia on me. I love my daughter more than anything but I wasn't expecting her. I had to cut back so much of my life in order to take care of her. And what is Lena even doing? She could be living it up at those business parties and partying for all I know. I just don't get why she's always hiding secrets from me. I want to know what's going on, I deserve to."
