AN:// I'm so sorry for not updating in like forever, I've just had a lot on my mind, and a lot to do. I'll try and update once every month, but no promises. Thank you for being patient with me.

Cass's PoV:
I woke up and felt a bit cold, the blanket was definitely not enough to keep one person warm. I started shaking a bit, just as I felt two arms sneaking around me and dragging me to them. I quickly closed my eyes and pretended to still be asleep as Owen pulled me close and moving my blanket so that he was warming me up. I waited for a few minutes before pretending to wake up, turning around and nuzzling closer.
"Morning Cass." Owen said in a gruff morning voice.
"Morning." I said back, finding his morning voice very sexy.
"Are you cold?" He asked me, and I nodded slightly. He let go of me and moved a bit away before removing his shirt, and laying back down looking at me.
"You know, this works better if you take of your shirt to." I blushed slightly and took of my shirt, leaving me in just my sports bra. I lay down again and Owen immediately snuck his arms around me, pulling me close to him, warming me up. I snuggled closer to his chest and looked up at his face, only to find him looking at me.
"What?" I asked looking back at him.
"Nothing, it's just that... You're very beautiful." He said, blushing slightly. I smiled at him, blushing slightly myself.
He leaned down and kissed me, and I returned it immediately. It was a kiss of passion, and he flipped us over so I was on bottom. He swiped his tongue over my lower lip, asking for entrance. I opened slightly and let him explore my mouth, as I did the same to him. We pulled away for breath and I stroked my hands over his back and he started trailing kisses down my neck. I moaned slightly and his mouth went back to mine. After a while we had to pull away for breath again, and my stomach decided that it was time to show that I was hungry. It growled loudly.
"I think it's time for breakfast." Owen laughed.
"Yeah, I'm afraid my stomach might try to eat itself if I don't eat something soon." I laughed back.
"You feeling warmer yet?"
"Yes, thank you." We smiled and shared another kiss, before getting dressed.

Jack's PoV:
My team was working full time on Cass's birthday party, my only job was to contact the Doctor. I set the coordinates on Cass's time vortex manipulator and pushed the button. I didn't want to leave my team again, but I had to find him. For Cass, I wanted her to have a good birthday for once, with everyone that cared about her.
I landed in a big room.
"All staff and crew go to the main control deck immediately!" Said an robotic voice.
"Come here! You'll get blown away if you stay here." A man shouted and I ran. We ran through hallways and doors until we came to a stop.
"Oh I've missed this." I said like a drug addict getting a high after a long break.
"Jack?" The Doctors voice made me turn around.
"You know him?" My saviour said.
"Yes, but you're supposed to be in Cardiff, not in space."
"I need to talk to you, it's about Cass..."
"What happened to her, is she okay?" He said in a slight panic.
"She's fine, she's currently in the countryside with Owen on a fake training course to keep her away. We wanted to surprise her on her birthday. Tosh has contacted Sigríður and I wanted her to have her father there too. Com'on Doctor, she's turning 400. It's an even number, that has to be something to celebrate. Right?"
"If there's one person I will ALWAYS be there for, it's my Cass. But I have to help these people first."
"I'll help, it'll be like the old days."

Ianto's Pov:
"Sir?" I looked into his office, on his desk was a note.
"I have left to find Cass's dad, I'll be back before she returns. Ianto, you're in charge of the preparations until I return.
X Jack Harkness"
"Hey Ianto, did you find him?" Tosh called from down in the Hub.
"No, but I found a note from him." I said and walked down and showed it to her.
"Well, what do you think about this cake 'boss'?" She said giggling.
"It's nice, and please, don't call me boss." I chuckled back.

Cass's PoV:
"We should probably find food." I said looking at Owen as he cleaned up after our breakfast.
"Yeah, you're right. But where do we start?"
"Well, we could search for roots and berries, and see if we can make something to hunt with." I suggested.
"Yes ma'm." He smiled and I laughed.
"Come on Owen."
We walked deeper into the woods. After some walking I picked up some sticks.
"What are those for?"
"Gimme the rope." I said and stretched out my arm.
"Here." Owen said after fishing the rope out of the backpack.
"Thanks."
"But what are you making?"
"I'm trying... ugh... to make... a bow." I said while tightening the rope.
"Could you make some arrows, while I finish this?"
"Sure." He said and walked away with a knife.
"Make sure that they are straight!" I yelled after him, and he yelled back.
"Yes ma'am!" I smiled to myself and returned my focus to my work.

Jack's POV:
"What kind of fake training mission did you send my daughter on? And who is this Owen?" The Doctor asked me while we worked.
"A survival in the woods with limited sources kind of mission. And Owen is our doctor slash scientist. He and Cass really gets along, she's stayed at his place a few nights now. I think she likes him, and I know for a fact that he likes her. On her mother's birthday, Owen brought her out to dinner at the restaurant you two had been on with that slitheen a few years back. And that was just so that she didn't have to be alone. They came back with a weavil too, she's god at this job. And it's not something I'm just saying."
"He did that for her? He did that for my daughter?"
"Yes he did, and he even accepted her as his apprentice. And she told him about her past, they've gotten so close, in just a few months."
"He sounds like a great guy, he really do. And it warms my hearts that he's nice to her, but if he breaks her hearts, I will personally take care of him..."
"Don't worry, he won't."
"So how's she doing with the jobs?"
"You should've seen her on her first field op, she was amazing. She talked her way past security like a champ." I laughed at the memory, and the Doctor chuckled as well.
"That sounds like my daughter... I can't wait to see my little girl again." The doctor said, and we finished fixing the spaceship motor.
