"how do you feel now that they're dating?" dongpyo asked.

"i don't know. not to be salty, but like, i think mingyu dating yiren now is a bad idea. i mean, they've literally known each other for less than three months, and now, they're dating? mingyu should let his feelings sink in before dating." haeyoung ranted, chewing on her food.

"i agree. because you never know, yiren might be a bitch." wonjin added.

"true." dongpyo nodding.

"oh," a familiar voice said from behind. "you've heard of mingyu and yiren?"

the three turned their heads to the voice's direction. "eunsang?!" wonjin said.

"yeah, i'm eunsang." he said.

"oh, my god. please don't tell anyone about what you heard." haeyoung said.

"don't worry, i kinda agree with you." eunsang said. "mind if i sit here with you guys?"

"no, not at all. go ahead." haeyoung said. eunsang sat on the vacant seat beside haeyoung.

"why don't you go join mingyu?" dongpyo asked.

"he's with yiren, duh." eunsang said. "it'd be awkward. i don't want to be a third wheeler, too."

even though haeyoung seemed furious at the idea of yiren and mingyu dating, eunsang could still see the pain in the girl's eyes. it hurts him seeing the sadness that she feels.

even though he's young and inexperienced, he knows how it feels like to get hit by that wind of reality when you realize that you will never be the one for your crush. he knows how painful it is to love a person that doesn't love you back. he felt that pain already.

haeyoung and eunsang may not know it, but there is still a chance; a chance to be sith the one they love. maybe not now, but sooner or later they will find it.

"why do you look so sad, eunsang?" haeyoung asked.

"it's just that-" eunsang started, but got interrupted by a person banging their tray on their table.

the four looked at the direction of the sound, and saw a furious-looking hwang sua.

"hwang sua?" eunsang asked. "why're you here?"

"can i sit with you guys? yiren's too freaking busy doing lovey-dovey stuff with her boyfriend." sua said, the annoyance clearly audible in her voice.

"why do you look so annoyed?" wonjin asked.

"excuse me, ham wonjin?" sua said. "how can i not be annoyed at yiren? she's dating mingyu, even though yiren only likes mingyu as a friend!"

"what?" eunsang exclaimed.

"oh, shit. i didn't see eunsang here. please don't tell him." sua said.

haeyoung sighed. "i expected this..." she whispered in a sing-song tone, putting the food in her mouth.

"hold up, what do you mean yiren only likes mingyu as a friend?" dongpyo asked.

"she said she likes someone else... ehem, ehem, that person's actually near us," sua said, making everyone's eyes widen but neither of them could say a word.

"ANYWAY, she said she likes someone else, and mingyu asked her to be his girlfriend the other day, now they're dating but then she told me that she only accepted mingyu because she didn't want to break his heart, and-"

"gosh, calm down." eunsang said.

"i'm sorry..." sua said, taking a deep breath. "it's just... yiren is my best friend, but she's so freaking stupid to not know that mingyu's heart will break more if he finds out that she doesn't feel the same way towards him!"

"people will hear us." haeyoung said, rolling her eyes.

"wait, who does yiren like?" eunsang asked.

sua chuckled nervously. "ah, that i can't tell."

haeyoung rolled her eyes again. she never liked this hwang sua girl, even though sua was older than haeyoung.

"i'm gonna go." haeyoung said.

"what? noona! where are you going?" dongpyo asked.

"i'm very, very sorry for leaving you, pyo. but see you later again, i guess." haeyoung said.

she walked out the cafeteria and went to her classroom. as she went inside the classroom, she started walking to her desk on the far back of the classroom, but suddenly, another person came in.

she didn't bother to look at who it was, she didn't really care. but she did care when that person wrapped their arms around her, back-hugging her.

she flinched and her body tensed up at the sudden touch, but as soon as she saw who it was, her body softened.

"eunsang? what are you doing?" she asked.

"hugging you?" he said.

"why?" haeyoung asked.

"you looked like you needed a hug." eunsang said. it was true, haeyoung really did need a hug. they stayed like that for a couple of minutes until they heard the bell ring. they let go of each other and went back to their seats.

"thank you, i did need a hug." haeyoung said.

"no problem." eunsang said. just on time, students came in the classroom.

strangely enough, haeyoung's heart was beating really fast.
