"hey, eunsang, you didn't finish your story." wonjin said. the three boys were walking back home after class, and haeyoung didn't join them because she had to rush to her part-time job."oh, yeah." eunsang said. "but don't tell haeyoung about anything i will say, okay?"
wonjin smirked and playfully hit eunsang on the shoulder. "looks like we really got a new campus couple~"
eunsang looked at wonjin in a death glare. "you want to hear my story or not?"
"i do..." wonjin said, pouting. "geez, i was just joking."
"anyway, so yeah, like i told you before, yiren confessed to me, then i told her that i liked someone else." eunsang said. "she figured it was haeyoung, since she's the only female close friend i have."
"oh, so like, she wanted to get revenge?" dongpyo asked.
"i guess." eunsang said.
"hey, we need to report yiren!" wonjin said. "we can't just let her go after hurting haeyoung!"
"yeah." eunsang said. "but we're not even completely sure if she's the one who spread it. we don't have enough evidence."
dongpyo sighed. "i guess." he said, "what can we do?"
"let's just report her to the principal!" wonjin said. "let the principal be in charge of yiren. you can report her, right, eunsang?"
"yeah." he said. "i'll try."
the boys continued to walk home, talking about random things on the way.

haeyoung put up with the death glares and the gossips for a couple more days, until one day, she came to school a bit later than usual, and everything seemed... normal. it felt like everything was back in place, yet it felt a little off. there weren't anymore whispers and side-eyes, as if the rumor was never spread.
what the hell is going on? haeyoung thought, walking through the halls. after she took her supplies from her locker, she she was about to go inside her classroom, but something stopped her.
"hey, guys!" one of her classmates, that somehow always knew all the drama (ngl there's always that one friend that knows all the tea), said barging in the classroom. "i heard something, yo!"
"what's up?" another girl said, curiousity filling up the classroom's vibe. haeyoung listened from the door, since she had that gut feeling that it was going to be about her, and she didn't want to stop her classmate from saying the things she wanted to say by walking in the room.
her classmate panted, catching her breath. she looked around, specifically on the back row of the classroom, then spoke. "i just found out haeyoung and hangyul are half-siblings."
haeyoung's eyes widened. how did they know?
"what?" a boy said, "kwon haeyoung? lee hangyul?"
"yeah." the classmate said, nodding. "yiren was the one that spread the rumor. wang yiren. along with her friend, sua, i think? they got caught."
"woah!" one of her other classmates said.
"i never thought yiren was the type to spread rumors."
"i know, right?"
haeyoung walked in, eyes widened. "yiren spread that rumor? about me?"
