the day passed, and it was friday; haeyoung's favorite day. she realized that ever since she became friends with wonjin and dongpyo, she hasn't been playing basketball after school during fridays. the last time she did was on the first friday of school, and she missed doing it.

after the last bell of the week rang, she headed to the court immediately. she already told dongpyo and wonjin that she wasn't going to join them in walking home. she dropped her bags off the bleachers as usual, getting a ball from one of the baskets.

she started dribbling the ball as she did before, and aimed it to the hoop, shooting it in. she did a few more shots before stopping because she heard the door open.

"i knew it." eunsang said, coming in the gym.

"you knew what?" haeyoung asked.

"that you were playing basketball." he replied.

"yeah..." she awkwardly said, shooting the ball. "do you know how to play?"

"not really. i'm not really a fan of basketball." he said.

"come here." haeyoung said, gesturing to eunsang to come nearer. "do you want me to teach you the basics? you have the perfect height for non-professional basketball player."

eunsang chuckled. "sure, sounds fun." he put down his stuff and went closer to haeyoung.

"okay, watch." haeyoung said, as she positioned herself to throw the ball. "put your feet together, bend your knees, use your dominant hand to hold the ball and your non-dominant hand for support, focus on the hoop, and throw." she said before she shot the ball in the hoop, earning a shot.

"for me, i have to jump since i'm short and stuff, but i don't think you need to jump" haeyoung said. "here, try it." she tossed the ball to eunsang.

eunsang did as he was told, and started aiming the ball towards the hoop. "like this?"

"yeah, nice." haeyoung said. wow, no wonder he's an honor student, he follows instructions so well.

eunsang looked at the hoop and threw the ball. it went in the basket. "nice one! you're a natural." haeyoung said.

they took turns in shooting the ball, and they were having fun. "you're actually pretty fun to be with." haeyoung said, chuckling.

"really? thanks." eunsang said. she becomes a different person when playing basketball, eunsang thought, she becomes happier.

after a while, they decided to stop playing and walk home together. "do you wanna go to the park or something? i mean, it's friday and it's the perfect weather to go to the park." eunsang asked.

"sure. it's only 4:30PM, anyway." haeyoung replied.

they exited the school and headed to the park.

"what's your favorite season, haeyoung?" eunsang asked.

"actually, mine is autumn, which is like, now." haeyoung said, and chuckled. "i actually loved going to the park during autumn season back in middle school. i just like how the trees and leaves are all orange and it gives me that peaceful vibe, you know?"

"oh, nice to know." eunsang said. "i like spring. i just love seeing flowers bloom, and the scenery is just so green and bright."

they continued chatting until they reached the park. they looked for a bench to sit on, but they paused when they saw something they didn't want to see.

"oh, eunsang, haeyoung, you're here, too." mingyu said.

"hi, guys!" yiren said.
