Two months since I last heard this noise. Two whole months that seemed to pass with a blink of an eye. And there are ten longer months until I stop hearing it.

I kicked the covers off of me and grumpily stumbled to the bathroom. It's been a long time since I've waken up this early. I washed my face, brushed my teeth, and did my business.

I looked at the mirror in front of me and was horrified of how my hair was all over the place. I quickly brushed it gently before going down to have breakfast.

As soon as I was downstairs, the smell of hot coffee hit me, along to oven fresh croissants. "Good morning sweetie."

"Good morning dad. Mmm, it smells soo good!"

"Yup! And I got it for you. You can start your day with something sweet so you'll enjoy your time."

"Yeah I don't think the first day of school will ever be fun."

"Just try to enjoy it. I know you find school a bit difficult because of some learning issues, but that doesn't mean you can't do it."

"It's hard dad. Harder than you think. I'm dyslexic and have ADD. It means I can't read easily and I get distracted easily. How can I work things out?"

"You can. I know you can. You just need to believe in yourself."

"Do we have to go through with this every single year?"

"I'm just trying to make you feel better. Forget it, have breakfast and enjoy your day. I've gotta go now. But I know Sarah's gonna be here soon."

"Bye dad."

I ate breakfast by my self then went back upstairs to get ready. I brushed my teeth once again and took a quick shower. When I was done, I went to my closet to choose my clothes.

I picked the shorts and pink crop top that says drama in white that I left for the first day and wore my yellow converse and remembered Ross. His favorite color is yellow.

I got my new flowery backpack and put in my pencil case and a note book because I'm definitely gonna need it.

I glanced in the mirror and then put my hair up in a messy pony tail. I applied some shiny lipgloss into my lips and just sprayed some perfume.

I went back downstairs and opened the fridge and got a cold water bottle and an apple. I grabbed a granola bar from the cupboard before getting my keys and phone and heading out.

Just then, I saw Sarah, not very far from my house, approaching me. When she got close enough, I greeted her.

"So, are you ready?"

"No I'm not. I won't ever be."

"Come on. Cheer up! You know you can do it!" Sarah tried to make me feel better. She's the only one, other than my dad, who knows about my difficulties.

"Sarah, give it a rest." I said, as we continued walking towards school. "We talk about this every year. You know I'm not good enough."

"Yes you are. And you can be even better."

"I'm just gonna ignore you like I did to dad."

"We're just trying to cheer you up. We want to help you feel good about yourself."

"I appreciate that, but I don't need any help. I'm never gonna be better."

-In School-

"What locked number did you get?" I turned around to see Sarah standing behind me with keys in her hand.
