CHAPTER 23: HALLOWEEN PARTY

~one week later~
Chloe's P.O.V:
Today's the 31st of October, which means it's Halloween. And it's also the day we're gonna do a surprise party for Rocky.
I woke up pretty excited. I didn't really care that I had school today, all I was thinking about is that today's Halloween and what costume should I wear.
I went downstairs to the kitchen and saw dad just about to leave.
"Hey pumpkin! Get it? You know, cuz it's Halloween? No?"
"Dad." I gave him the look.
"Okay, fine. Have a nice day."
"You too. Bye!"
I went back into the kitchen and thought about what to eat. I decided I'll make some oatmeal. I got some strawberries, blueberries and bananas. I washed them all and cut them into slices. When the oatmeal was done, I put them in a bowl and added the fruits to it and drizzled some honey on top.
I checked Instagram and twitter while I was eating. I thought about how the whole R5 fandom doesn't know about me. But if they know about me, I would get caught and my dad would kill me. I just hope that everything will be okay.
I put my bowl in the sink when I was done, and went back up to my room to change.
Since the weather is getting kinda cold, I decided I'll wear my floral skirt that reached a little above my knees with my knit sweater and my beige ankle boots. I braided two little sections of my hair and pinned them back with a black bow and wore some bracelets.
I got my brown bag, my phone, and my home keys and headed out the door. Although I had a new car, I still walked to school as an exercise because I eat a lot and I do nothing.
When I got to school, I caught up with my friends and we talked about the party tonight.
"So all of you guys are coming, right?"
"Yes" Jake answered.
"Great! It'll be a lot of fun!"
"And we'll be able to get introduced to these two boyfriends of yours that we never met." Rosa said jokingly.
Sarah and I laughed at her comment. "Don't worry about that."
We each went to his class shortly after our talk and started first period.

After school, Sarah and I said goodbye to our friends and walked to my house. She's never seen it after I moved. All the way, we were talking about the party and how she's excited to surprise Rocky.
When we got to the gates, she was amazed with how it looked. Our security guard opened the gates for us and let us in. She was still taking it all in.
When we reached to our front door, she finally spoke. "Your new house is amazing! It's beautiful! I love this little fountain here and the little garden and the shape of the house! It's really amazing! Congratulations! I hope you're happy here!"
"Thanks! Yeah I guess I am. Maybe it's how my dad shows me he cares, I don't know. Let's keep moving now, we don't have all day."
I opened the door and we both went directly to the kitchen. "How about pizza?"
"You definitely know me."
"Haha duh! Best friends forever!"
"What?"
"Yeah, neither do I know. I'll just go order. Let's go up to my room."
I took Sarah in a 'mini tour' around the house and then we went up to my room.
"OMG! I SERIOUSLY LOVE YOUR NEW ROOM!"
"I know! I love it too! And more than the old one! Have you decided what to wear for the party tonight?"
"No. I was thinking about talking to Rydel so she would tell me what Rocky would wear for Halloween, then I'd wear the same."
"Ahh. Good thinking my friend. You guys are gonna look so cute together!" I said almost squealing.
Sarah texted Rydel and told her to come to my new house after she texted her the address, that way, we girls can go together and pick out our costumes.
After ten minutes of sitting on the bed, laughing and joking, the guard rang us on the cable phone saying that pizza and a blonde girl where here. I told him to let them both in and Sarah and I rushed downstairs to the front door.
Sarah opened the door and greeted Rydel, whereas I payed the pizza delivery guy. We went into the kitchen and helped ourselves with some pizza. I got us some coke from the fridge.
After we ate, we decided to head out to the costume shop since we didn't have much time lest, and we couldn't just put the boys in charge of preparing for the party.
When we got to the store, we rummaged through different costumes. "Hey Rydel, do you know what Rocky's gonna wear?" Sarah asked.
"Yeah, I guess he decided to go as a police officer at the end."
"Cool! I'll be wearing that too! I just need to find a costume in my size."
"I think I'll be a princess! What about you Chloe?"
"Haha yeah I think a princess looks good on you. Umm I'm not sure, but I think maybe tinker bell would be cool."
"Cool? That would look so awesome and sexy!"
I laughed at her comment and asked for some help with finding our costumes.
We tried on what we chose, just to be sure of the size, and then payed for what we had. This time, we directly went to the Lynches so we can help and so Sarah would keep Rocky away.
When we got to the Lynches, the house from the outside was already decorated. We went inside to see the others, but Rocky greeted us.
"Rocky! Hey!" Sarah exclaimed. "Can you help me with something?"
"Yeah sure. What's up?"
"Uhh...I need to get something..umm..from that store, and umm...tell you about...that boy who likes me in school! Yes, that!"
We all have Sarah weird looks, and we didn't think that Rocky would buy it cuz she was stuttering and looked like she was thinking of an excuse.
"Okay..let's go."
As soon as they left, Rydel and I laughed so hard. Stormie and Ryland came into the kitchen and saw us laughing hysterically, they started laughing too.
"What happened to you girls?" Ryland asked.
"Long story, but now that Rocky's gone, we have to continue."
And by that, everyone parted ways to do something, while Stormie stayed in the kitchen to bake a cake.
Everyone was running around the house doing something: blowing balloons, setting food and drinks at the table, preparing music and other things.
While I was taking out some speakers to the backyard, I accidentally ran into Ross. Guess I forgot he was here because everyone was busy.
"Hey babe! You're here!" He said squeezing me into a big hug.
"Definitely! I'm here to help with the party. Do you need help with that?"
I asked, pointing at the big trash bags in his hands.
"Yes please if you can. There are like 10 more outside."
I went outside to get the garbage bags and help Ross. When I went outside and threw the trash, Ross asked me about my costume.
"I got a tinker bell costume. What about you?"
"Still didn't get anything. But if you got tinker bell, I might as well be Peter Pan."
"Really? That's so cool!"

Time went by so fast, and we didn't notice that it was now 8 pm and people are gonna start arriving. Rydel and I went up to her room to change and do our makeup whereas the boys just went to change.
We then did our makeup and joined everyone downstairs. The music was already playing loudly and a lot of guests had already arrived.
I got a lot of stares from guys and people I never knew, and that made me feel a little uncomfortable, so I went near Ross.
"Hey Chloe! I want you to meet my co-workers. We're gonna be filming season 4 of 'Austin and Ally' next week. This is Laura, Raini, and that's Calum. Guys, this is my beautiful girlfriend Chloe."
I blushed a little when he said that. I hope no one realized.
"Hey! I really love your show! I'm a big fan!" I said shaking their hands.
"Ross! Why didn't you tell us you had a girlfriend? And a pretty one too!" Raini said hugging me tight.
"Haha, yeah we wanted to keep things a bit on the down-low."
"Awh, thank you! It really means a lot to hear that, especially from you." Laura said, giving me a creepy look, but no one other than me noticed that.
"You guys look adorable together in those matching costumes." Calum said.
"Thank you! So do you guys." Laura was in a vampire costume and Raini was wearing an angel costume. Calum's costume scared me the most. He was going as a joker, but it was pretty gnarly.
"Ross." I said taking him to the side to another group of people. "I want you to meet my friends from school: Rosa, Sally, Jake, Josh, and Jessica." They all said hi.
"Hey guys!" He said shaking hands with the girls and doing that thing guys do together. "I hope you're enjoying the party!"
"Yeah, it's great man." Jake said.
From BFF<3:
Hey! We're here! Tell everyone to get ready!
To BFF<3:
Alright, but don't walk very fast.
"Ross, I got a text from Sarah. They're here."
"Great! I'll tell everyone to hide and you get the lights."
I did as I was told to do and a few seconds later, Rocky and Sarah came walking through the door. He switched the lights on and everyone shouted together.
"SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROCKY!"
He stood there speechless. The look on his face was priceless! Good thing Rydel was taping!
"Oh my god! Guys! Thank you so much!"
He was smiling widely. He looked pretty happy, and so did Sarah. They looked so cute together in their matching costumes.
I snapped out of my thoughts by Ross pulling me by my hand.
"Hey babe!"
"Hey! Enjoying the party?"
"Yeah, it's really cool. And you?"
"Yeah I know, but.."
"But what?"
"There are some people that are really creepy. They..ugh.. I don't know, make me feel uncomfortable?" I said, searching for a proper word.
He looked kinda disappointed or jealous. But he still didn't show that when he talked. "We'll, what can we do if you're hot?"
"Psh..that is not true!"
"Yeah whatever you say. Forget about those and let's dance."
Ross and I started dancing together and laughing at ourselves. But I kept seeing Laura send me death glares, which I thought was really weird, but I brushed it off. She can't be jealous of me, can she?
I don't know, I don't think so. Later, the lights were dimmed, and Rydel and Stormie came in, pushing a cake on a trolley. It was so huge, made up of 4 or 5 layers, covered with green icing and designed in an indescribable way. Stormie was really great at this.
Rydel then lit the candles and Rocky stood in front of the cake as everyone sang 'Happy Birthday'. He blew the candles and the girls started handing out cake pieces to the guests.
"Wow Stormie! This tastes really good!" Sarah said, barely leaving space in her mouth to breath. I laughed at the way she was eating the cake.
The rest of the night went by, and after all the guests left, everyone was so tiered, especially Stormie, who was in the kitchen all by herself.
"Thank you guys for this awesome surprise!" Rocky said.
"No problem! We're happy you had fun!" I said. "Don't you want to open your presents?"
"No, I'm tiered. I'll do it tomorrow."
"Yeah good idea." Riker said.
Ross turned to me. "Stay here tonight."
"Uh.."
Rydel butted in. "Oh please! It's been a long time since you slept here!"
"Okay fine."
"Yes! Sarah you're staying too, right?"
"Okay, if you want to."
"You're staying with me." Ross told me.
"What? No way!"
"Yeah, and Sarah's with me this time." Rocky said.
"What? You can't be serious! Girls?"
Rydel looked at us and we just stared at each other, hiding our giggles.
"I'm sorry?" I said.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever."
"No! We'll make it up to you! We'll go shopping tomorrow, in my new car!"
"Your what?" She said surprised.
"Oh you didn't know yet? Okay so you'll know tomorrow. Now, I really need to sleep."
"Come on babe." Ross said taking my hand. "Good night everyone!"
We both went upstairs together and went to Ross's room. He gave me some grey sweatpants and a white muscle-tee and I went into his bathroom to change.
After I got out, we directly sat under the bed covers. Ross snuggled tightly with me and pulled me close to him.
"Good night beautiful."
"Good night babe."
