Chloe's P.O.V:
I woke up early in the morning to the sound of my alarm clock...again. "Is it only been a few days?" I asked myself, feeling as if it were 2 months. Time was passing really slowly, at least that's what I feel - every year.
I got out of bed and sleepily crawled into the bathroom. I washed my face, brushed my teeth, and did my business. I got out and decided to change my clothes first.
I put on my light wash jeans and a simple red shirt. I put on my with converse and prepared my new brown leather backpack.
I went downstairs to the kitchen and saw dad having his coffee. "Good morning dad."
"Good morning. Did you have a good sleep?"
"Meh. I know I probably won't either. I hate waking up early."
"Well, you're gonna have to get used to it."
Gosh, I hated that tone parents use. 'Get used to it' and 'you can't do anything about it' and things like that. Can't they just feel our pain? Ugh.
"Okay." That was all I said. I don't feel like arguing in the morning. Enjoying breakfast with a calm ambiance is better.
I went to the cupboards and got out a small bowl and placed it on the counter. I opened the fridge and got some cold milk and poured it into my bowl. I got the cereal box and a spoon and sat on one of the chairs on the island.
"Oh, remember that surprise I was telling you about?"
"Noo! Why did you remind me? I can't believe I forgot!"
"Better. You're gonna get you're surprise today. And now that I reminded you, it will be teasing you and taunting you the whole day. "
"Oh great! Wait..does that mean that we're moving today?"
"Yeah. It's good that you noticed that all by yourself."
"So you're picking me up from school?" I said, placing a heaped spoon of cereal into my mouth.
"Yes. Now come on, finish. You don't want to be late to class."
"Yes I do."
Shortly after our little talk, I finished my cereal and placed my bowl in the sink. I went back upstairs and sat in front of my mirror. I brushed my hair and put it up in a messy pony tail. I applied a bit of light pink lipgloss and placed it in my bag.
I put some perfume and got my phone and my bag and hurried downstairs, wanting to be outside my house before Sarah.
"We're moving today! We're moving today!" I said, jumping up and down with excitement as we walked to school.
"Yay! Did you see that house yet?"
"No not yet. Dad's gonna pick me up after school and we're gonna head straight to the new house. Everything there is ready now."
"Did he tell you something about the surprise?"
"I can't believe you remembered and I didn't. And yes he did. He said I'm gonna get it today. I hope it's something valuable. He never really got me anything."
"I know it's gonna be something special."
"You know what it is?"
"No I'm just saying that because I feel like it's that way. I mean, you're moving to a new house, it's definitely new, and it must be something so important that he's teasing you with it."
"Good point."
When we reached school, we caught up with Sally and went to class. The teacher wasn't there yet so sarah and I turned around in our chairs to talk to her.
