It was a pretty average day. Me and the sandlot boys were playing ball at the sandlot. Nothing out of the ordinary. But of course things can't stay normal for ever in Salt Lake City.... "Hello sissy's!" Says a voice from the entrance of the sandlot. We all turn to see who it was. Phillips. "What do you want Phillips??" Asks Benny annoyed. I don't like to get involved in this arguments so I get behind Benny and put my head on his shoulder. He shivers at my touch. That's weird. He never does that. He licks his lips and looks at me. I give him a questioning look and he returns his gaze to Phillips. Phillips gets off his bike and walks towards me. I get off Benny and straighten myself up. I cross my arms and shift my weight onto one leg. "Yes Phillips?" I ask rudely. He smiles and hands me a bouquet of roses and a chocolate box. I froze at the items. I take them and give him a questioning look. "What excactly was that for Phillips???" Asked Denunez. Phillips smiles and chuckled. "Y/N your the talk of the town and I want you to be mine. What you say? Wanna go to the diner with me tonight?" Asks Phillips. "What?!" Yell the sandlot boys. I give him a surprised look. "She doesn't want anything to do with you!!" Yells Phillips. The sandlot boys give him a scared look. "Don't do it Benny!" Whisper shouts Squints. "Yea Benny don't do it!" Says Bertram. Benny looks at Phillips. Phillips has an amused look. "And what? You think she would ever want you? Or... do you want her?" Phillips Asks. Benny's face goes white and he looks at the ground. Phillips laughs and rolls his eyes. "Well looky here!!! Rodriguez found a love besides the game!!" Phillips says laughing. All the sandlot boys huddle around Benny and glare at Phillips. He returns his gaze to me and smiles. "So what do you say?" Phillips Asks me. I turn to see the sandlot boys and they are looking at me with sad eyes. But Benny has hopeful eyes. I smile brightly and they all give me a confused look. I look at Benny and grab his hand. "Over my dead body Phillips. Either way me and Benny are late to our date." I say innocently. He rolls his eyes and leaves the sandlot. I turn fro look at Benny and he is smiling like a dork. "Man Benny man cuddos!" Says Yeah Yeah. I laugh and kiss Benny's cheek. He smiles a rn me and hugs me. "Can I have the real thing?" Benny whispers in my ear. I smile into his neck and pull away. I give him a deep kiss and laugh. "I love you Benjamin Franklin Rodriguez!!" I say laughing. Denunez grabs me and shoves me around playfully. "Man get a room you two!" Says squints laughing. Benny just keeps smiling at me and finally says "I love you too."
