"Rise and shine Midtown Science and Technology! Students don't forget about your Homecoming tickets! Do you have a date for homecoming? Thanks Jason but I already have date... Okay..." You smiled shaking your head at Betty and Jason. Homecoming is coming up and you don't know if you're dreading it or if your excited.
"Join me and together we'll build my new Lego Death Star" you heard a voice say in between you and Peter as you guys were grabbing your books. "What?" you and Peter both said in unison as some cheerleaders were gossiping near by. "No way that's awesome! How many pieces?" Peter asked voice cracking a bit. "3,803" Ned replied. "That's insane!" you replied shutting your locker. "I know! Wanna build it tonight?" Ned asked you both, and you already knew what was about to come out of Peter's mouth "I can't tonight I got the Star-" Peter started but you cut him off "Mmhm Stark Internship" you said sighing. "Yeah exactly" Peter said under his breath. "Always got that Stark Internship." Ned said walking in between me and Peter. "Yeah, well hopefully soon it'll lead to a real job" Peter said looking over to you and Ned. "That would be so sweet" Ned said feeling happy for Peter. "Right!" Peter replied "He'd be all 'Good job on those spread sheets Peter! Here's a gold coin!'" Ned said a short silence following as me and Peter looked at him grinning. "I don't know how jobs work" he replied flatly "That's exactly how they work!" Peter said while you just chuckled in the background. "I'll line out the basic balls of the death star at my place and then I'll come by afterwards" Ned said as Peter slowly stopped in the hallway and you looked at him following his gaze to Liz. You sighed. Peter has become a lot more confident here lately so him and Liz going to homecoming together is almost 100% going to happen. "That'd be great" Peter mumbled and then the bell rang signaling you to go to class.
"Ok so how do we calculate linear acceleration between point A and B?" the teacher asked pacing around the room when Flash's hand shot up. "Flash" she called facing him. "It's the product of sine of the angle and gravity divided by mass." he said confident in his answer. You just chuckled and took notes. "Nope. Peter?" the teacher called. You looked over and saw that he was watching a Spider-man video on his laptop. You coughed a little which caused him to snap out of it and look over to you. You just nodded your head towards the teacher. "You still with us?" she asked him "Uh uh yeah yeah uh-" he closed his laptop and looked at the board "Well uh- mass cancels out so it's just gravity times sine." he replied nodding. "Right" the teacher said a little impressed "See Flash, being the fastest isn't always the best if you are wrong" she said turning back towards the board and you and the class snickered. "You're dead!" Flash mouthed to Peter. And Peter just looked back at the clock.
At lunch all four of us sat at the same empty table. You sat next to Ned and Peter and M.J decided to sit a little bit further away to finish reading her book. "Did Liz get a new top?" Peter asked gawking over at her. you looked over to see her putting the homecoming sign up. "No we've seen that before but... never with that skirt" Ned replied. You just rolled your eyes and mouthed to M.J "They're so weird" she just nodded and mouthed back "I know" and you chuckle. "We should probably stop staring before it gets creepy though" Peter said to Ned. They were so busy gawking over Liz that they didn't even notice that you scooted over closer to M.J. "Too late!" you replied holding back laughter. "You guys are losers" M.J shrugged."Well then why did you come and sit with us" Ned replied sarcastically while Peter just sat there, confusion written all over his face. "Cause I don't have any friends" M.J said playfully while you just sat there in shock "Excuse you I take that offensively" you said moving closer to Ned and Peter. "Y/N you are like my long lost sister" M.J replied and you all just laughed.
After lunch you, M.J, Ned, and Peter all went to Academic Decathlon practice. You were studying your notes while Ned was up on stage practicing and M.J was reading a book and Peter was talking to Mr. Harrington. "Let's move to the next question. What is the heaviest naturally occurring element?" Liz asked. You heard a bell ring shortly after and looked up. "Hydrogen is the lightest..... That's not the question... Ok.." the kid replied and you laughed and muttered "Uranium" and M.J just looked at you and said "You know I don't understand why you study. You're already really smart!" M.J said while turning her attention back to her book. Then another bell rang "Uranium!" Abraham said proudly. "That is correct! Thank you Abraham." Liz replied moving to the next question while Abraham silently cheered.
