Chapter 12

(AN- So it is August 10 2019 when I am righting this and I just have to say HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY PETER!!!! Ok that's all I had to say enjoy the book!

You were sitting in the front office waiting area while you and Ned waited for Peter to get done with his visit at the principals office. When he walked out you and Ned both shot out of your seats. "Are you expelled? Do you have to go to that High School on 46 where the principal has a cross bow?" Ned asked eagerly and you shot him a confused look "Pretty sure thats an Urban Myth and, no, I'm not expelled" Peter said and you let out a sigh of relief "You're so lucky" you told him as you three walked to your next class together.

M.J had explained how losing the Stark Internship was hard for Peter. How he would just sulk in detention and he didn't seem as lively as before. It hurt you to see him like this. Later that week Ned invited us to finish the Lego Death Star. M.J said she wasn't into Lego's but you said yes along with Peter. After it was finished Peter had the honors of putting the last piece on top and we all looked at it approvingly. "That took forever but it was so worth it!" you exclaimed inspecting it. "Agreed" Ned said while Peter just nodded and smiled slightly and Peter and Ned started doing their handshake while you just watched in confusion.

You were sitting at lunch with M.J and she pulled you aside to talk to you personally. "Alright you need to ask Peter to homecoming." she told you slamming her book down. "What? M.J no I can't do tha--" "No you can! And you need to before it's to late! GO!" she told you and you nodded and headed out of the cafeteria.

You waited in the hallway behind a wall for Peter to walk out. Once he did you couldn't get your feet to move so you just tried to breath. Shortly after you heard a familiar voice and peeked out to see Peter talking to Liz. "Oh no" you muttered as you watched them carefully. "Hey look I uh- I just want to apologize about the whole decathlon team I really-" he started "Its fine. Last week Decathlon was the most important thing and.. I almost died" she replied looking in the trophy case then to Peter. "No I j- I'm heheh... I just mean that It was not cool especially be... Because... I like you..." he muttered and you wanted to start crying. "I know" she said to him and Peter looked surprised. "You do?" he asked her. You could tell he was nervous. "You're terrible at keeping secrets" she told him "Yeah you'd be surprised" he chuckled and you were confused as to what he meant by that until you thought back to the Germany situation. "I got to get to class but uh I'd say we should hang out but I'm gonna be in detention for.... Ever" he choked out. and Liz nodded "But um- I guess you already have a date to homecoming"he said playing with his over sized hall pass "Actually I was so busy planning it I never really got to that part" she shrugged "Oh you wanna uh go with me" Peter asked softly as a tear left you eye "Yeah sure" she chuckled "Really? I mean uh great cool!" "Cool" I'm actually going that way" he said pointing in your direction and you quickly left to go to the cafeteria so you didn't have to see him.

Later that night you sat in bed letting silent tears fall. Your phone buzzed and you picked it up hesitantly to see a message from M.J.

M.J- Hey I heard the news. I'm really sorry Y/n. Just give it some time. I hate saying this about Peter but something tells me this won't last very long. It's just a feeling.

You- Thanks M.J. Are you going tonight?

M.J- Yes and I better see you there. Sulking about Peter isn't going to change anything. So show up tonight with a beautiful dress on and show Peter what he's missing out on!

You- Haha ok I'll see you there M.J

You smiled at M.J's message and wiped your tears and got ready for the party. Tonight was gonna be fun. With or without Peter.
