"Louise," Dan said, "Chris and Pj invited us to go see a movie this weekend. You up for it?"
"It depends what movie," Louise replied, walking beside Dan in the crowded school hallway. They were headed towards their 6th period math class, the only class they had together. They were seniors, so they knew the halls of the school well. They walked in the middle of the hall, not moving out of the way for others, partly because they didn't feel like moving, but mainly because they were popular. Yes, Dan and Louise were popular.
"Okay," Dan said awkwardly, not knowing what to say next. They walked a little ways before they heard a voice yell behind them, "DAN! LOUISE! WAIT UP!"
Dan and Louise both turned to see Chris running towards them. He ran right into Dan, hugging him tightly, and then doing the same to Louise.
"Whoa, Chris," Dan said, taking a step away from Chris. "Quiet down a bit, will you?"
"Sorry." Chris fixed his hair, which had suffered greatly from the hugging attack. "I haven't seen you two all weekend and I got a little excited."
Whenever Chris was around Dan, he could see all of the beautiful colors. He was the only one who knew.
"It's okay," Louise told him. "But Dan and I have to get to class, and you do too."
Chris quietly nodded, saddened by the fact that he wouldn't see Dan again until 8th period. As he turned to walk to his class, the colors slowly faded back to black and white with every step he walked away from Dan.
"He's weird," Louise said, heading towards math class. But of course they thought he was weird, Chris was the only one out of the three of them that had ever seen color. Dan walked beside Louise and watched as other people moved out of the way for them. They walked to their class and noticed that their usual seats had been taken by Shane, the school's biggest loser, and some new kid who appeared pretty nerdy. Dan and Louise weren't the type to bully, but as populars, they were expected to be a little rude to the students under them. At least that's what Caspar told them.
"Excuse me," Dan smiled. "Those seats are taken." His smile was wiped from his face. "So move."
Shane's eyes widened, and he quickly got up to find somewhere else to sit. The new kid followed him like a shadow. Everyone sat down in their seats and waited for the teacher to arrive; it had been 10 minutes after the tardy bell rang, and the teacher was nowhere to be seen.
And when there is no teacher around, the students do what they want. Tyler and Joe- popular boys known best for their pranking skills- were digging through the teacher's desk drawers. Joey, Lisa, and a few other students were writing inappropriate things on the chalkboard. Troye was sitting in the back of the class doodling in his notebook and probably fantasizing about Tyler (they were both gay, but neither of them knew they liked each other, probably because Troye wasn't popular). Other students were putting chewed gum in odd places around the room like inside the teacher's calendar, or in between the unused textbooks stacked on the back counter. Dan and Louise sat on their desks and whispered back and forth.
"I heard that Shane's gay," Dan said, glancing over at the unpopular kid he disliked.
Louise giggled. "I feel bad for that new guy. From what I've heard about him, he's pretty cool."
"Louise, he's hanging out with Shane Dawson and Shane Dawson is not cool. Therefore, the new kid is not cool."
"Well," Louise sighed. "There's only one way to find out."
She got up and politely fixed her skirt, then walked over to where Shane and the new kid were sitting. They looked up at her with awe, as if she was a real angel in front of them.
"Hey," she smiled at the new kid. "What's your name?"
By this time, Dan had walked over and was standing beside Louise, making Shane even more uncomfortable.
"My name is Phil," the new guy replied. His voice was barely more than a whisper, making it obvious he felt awkward talking to the "cool" kids.
"Well, Phil it's nice to meet you. Would you like to sit with us at lunch tomorrow?" Louise kept her focus on Phil, never looking at Shane.
"Uh yea sure," Phil replied, confused as to why popular kids wanted to hang out with him.
"Great. We'll see you then," Louise smiled widely and then walked back to her seat. Dan leaned in closer to Shane and whispered in his ear, "and we better not see you, you prick."
And with that, he walked away. He went back to his seat and continued to talk to Louise.
Tyler and Joe opened the bottom drawer of the teacher's desk and found an open box of condoms and Tyler held them up in the air.
"Hey Dan!" Tyler said. "If you and Louise need protection, I've got you covered!" He laughed and others stopped what they were doing to see what was going on.
Dans cheeks blushed out of embarrassment. "WE ARE NOT TOGETHER!" He yelled. He jumped up off of the desk and walked up to Tyler. He knocked the box out of his hands with one quick movement and smiled at Tyler.
"Fuck you." Dan whispered. Then he kneed Tyler in the stomach as hard as he could and then punched him repeatedly. Tyler returned punches while others tried to break up the fight.
"EXCUSE ME!" A voice yelled. Everyone turned to the doorway, where the principal was standing. Dan and Tyler stopped mid fight and stood with their mouths open in shock.
"Your teacher, mrs. Bay, had to leave school early for personal reasons. Your substitute should be arriving shortly."
Everyone was quiet.
"Oh and Tyler, Dan, if you would please see me in my office," the principal said calmly. The boys did as they were told and walked out into the hall and towards the principals office.
"Oh and make sure to clean up this mess before the substitute gets here," the principal said to the class before leaving the room.

If you don't understand the color thing, read this and it'll explain it better. Basically everyone sees in black and white. There's no color. But when a person falls in love and they are near the person they are in love with, the person in love can see in color. And when those two people are not physically close, the person in love sees in black and white like everyone else.
I hope that helped explain. :)
