Ariana dressed in a white button down shirt tucked into a pair of black jeans. She slid on black boots. She put in her code for her gun safe taking out her pistol along with her holster. She checked if the safety was on before placing in her holster. Ariana walked down for breakfast greeting everyone. Dinah finally woken up as well. "Look at you chief of police," Dinah greeted. Lauren beamed, "Wonder Woman!" Camila smiled, "Please, be safe!" Ariana kisses her cheek, "I will be home before you know it." Ariana also kissed Lauren on the top of her head, "Be good at school, okay?" Camila nodded, "We are actually getting a new student today." One of Camila's old friends texted her this morning about her daughter, Marcy, joining her class today. Normani was stressed about moving for a new job and putting her child into a new school. Lauren was now ecstatic.

Ariana left shortly before Camila and Lauren. She pulled into the station in her reserved parking spot slightly nervous. She was the first woman in charge of this department. She wondered how her male colleagues would react. Ariana had built up a impeccable reputation. Truly, she wanted this job position for awhile. Lauren's case motivated her to push for it. "Good Morning, T," Ariana greeted their front of house. The woman waved, "Chief Grande!" Ariana smiled and went back to her new office. She had already taken time to set things up before picking Lauren up from school if Camila had to stay late. With it being close to testing season, she had plenty of time to organize her office while she waited.

Ariana called a meeting with her field deputies immediately. "Good morning. As you know, I am the new chief. You can still call me Chief Ariana or just Chief," Ariana smiled stopping her heroic stern voice making her team laugh. "Seriously though, I am the Chief. I demand the same respect if not more. Now, I know we have a lot of cases coming it. However, I have a case that prompts importance. It is life threatening." Ariana knew her co-workers strengths and weaknesses. She knew who she wanted to work with closely. "So, for this case I am taking, Officer Chandler, David, and Summer. Your previous cases will be placed on the rest of you. It is your responsibility to get those past over. I will meet with you all in a hour." Ariana broke off the meeting to meet with a new face in the department.

Ariana knocked on her old office. "Oh! Chief, I am so sorry for the mess," the woman quickly set down her box of things to shake Ariana's hand, "I'm Normani." Ariana smiled, "Let me get you a intern to help you organize. I need your help." Normani was visibly was nervous. Ariana put a hand on her shoulder, "Don't worry. This used to be my job and you already have experience. You will due great." Normani nodded, "Thank you." Ariana stepped out grabbing the closest intern. "Get to work, rookie." Ariana took out Lauren's file from Normani's office, "I need to look through this. Oh, and if you need anything let me know."

Ariana returned to her office. She took a seat in her new swivel chair; she couldn't believe she was in charge. Ariana took a breath and refocused at the task at hand. She took out a notepad and started to take notes on Lauren's case. She had nothing new to gain from Lauren's file. A knock on her door drew her from her thoughts. "Officer Summers." She shifted slightly, "We handed over our cases, Chief." Ariana nodded, "Gather the troops in the board room."

"Alright. We have a life threatening child abuse case," Ariana announced. She gave Lauren's file to an available intern, "Print off three copies for me, please." The intern promptly left the room. Ariana took out a marker to write on the white board, "I will need background checks on the following: Camila Cabello, she is the aspiring mother of Lauren Jauregui. Mike Jauregui, abused his own daughter and wife. We do not know where he is. Clara Jauregui, she is deceased. Lastly, Dinah Jane Hansen. Dinah and Camila are innocents in this particular case. I need to know enemies if anything suspicious is found let me know." The officers nodded finishing their notes as the intern passed out copies and gave the original back to Ariana.

"Study this case. Feel free to take the board room for the day and have the intern listen the scanners for Mike. We need him off the streets. Pull whatever file you need."
