Camila and Lauren walked hand in hand to Camila's apartment; Camila herself was not adjusted to her new place. She hesitated not to knock as well. Camila let Lauren go in first. "Now, one of my good friends, Dinah, owns this apartment. She is letting me stay with her. She is not mean though." Lauren nodded waiting for Camila to show her where to go. "Dinah?" Camila called out. Dinah appeared from the living room. Lauren hid behind Camila, "This is Lauren."

Dinah wanted to cry upon seeing Lauren's state. "Hi, Lauren. I'm glad you're going to be staying with us for a bit." Lauren shared a smile with the taller woman and stepped from Camila's legs. "Thanks for letting me stay." Dinah's heart melted, "You're welcome." Camila smiled at their interactions, "Alright, how about a bath then we can make dinner and watch a movie?" Lauren vigorously nodded her head; she hadn't had a bath in a while.

Camila gathered sleep clothes for Lauren as well as an extra toothbrush. She knocked on the bathroom door waiting for Lauren's reply. After hearing a small 'come in', Camila walked in. Lauren was already undressed eager to take off her dirty clothes unaware of how awkward it could be for Camila. Camila shook her head; although, she was her teacher; her intentions are good. "Bubbles?" Camila asked as Lauren started to bathe. Lauren smiled, "please!" Camila set down her clothes and started to mix in the bubbles for the smaller girl. "You are all set. I will be in the living room if you need anything." Lauren bit her lip, "Could you stay?" Camila smiled, "Yeah. I can do that too." Camila made Lauren giggle as she made her a bubble mustache. She hadn't expected to grow so attached to her in such a short time. Her heart ached for the uncertainty surrounding their situation. She feared Mike could come for her as well. Camila shook the thoughts out of her head and continued to try and get Lauren's mind to stay from the recent events.

Camila helped dry Lauren off and help dress her. Although Lauren could do it herself, it felt pleasant to have someone do it for her. Lauren smiled gleaming over wearing Camila's clothes; her sweatshirt was awfully big on her, but she loved it. "Depending on how long you stay; we could pick up things that fit you, hun," Camila spoke grinning at Lauren's attire. Lauren shrugged, "I like your sweatshirts." Camila smiled, "Well, that is great to know. That one happens to be my favorite." Lauren beamed, "Thank you." Camila chuckled, "You're welcome, sweetheart. C'mon. I think Dinah has the movie ready for us." Lauren stayed attached to Camila's side while Dinah set in her own chair. Dinah had put in the movie Trolls for the group to watch; Dinah suggested that Lauren would love it, but Camila knew that it happened to be Dinah's favorite as well. Lauren would try to hide her laughter over Dinah belting out song lyrics, but she could not help but giggle over Dinah's shenanigans.

As the credits played Camila stood to stretch, "Alright. I do not know about you but I am tired." Lauren let out a yawn,"Mhm." Camila awed at Lauren's tired state, "Let's get to bed." She said goodnight to Dinah and Lauren also mumbled a goodnight as they walked to Camila's room. "I hope you don't mind sharing a bed with me," Camila joked. Lauren shook her head as her eyes met the moon peering in the window. Lauren stood near the window looking at the moon as Camila gathered extra covers suspecting Lauren liked stealing covers. "Are you okay, Lauren?" Lauren nodded, "The moon and I are friends." Camila furrowed her eyebrows, "Is that so?" Lauren continued, "Yeah, she takes care of my mami for me. She looks out for me too." Camila smiled, "That is pretty cool. The moon must be rather nice." Lauren moved away from the window to climb in Camila's bed, "She is. I want to go there one day." Camila slid under the covers next to Lauren, "is that so?" Lauren let a yawn, "Mhm." Lauren cuddled into Camila's side feeling an overwhelming feeling of warmth. Camila ran her hands through her hair and sang softly pulling Lauren into a deep sleep.

A part of Camila knew she would not be able to let Lauren go easily.

First, thank you for being somewhat patient. I have had a quite busy summer; I apologize for the slow updates. However, if you comment repeatedly telling me to update, I find it a bit rude. It makes me anxious. I appreciate that you enjoy this story, but I cannot help that I am busy. Keep that in mind, please. Again, thank you for the nice comments. :) I already have an idea for how I want the book to go as well as a sequel possibly so stay tuned.
