He's nearly caught me. Again.
I had a stalker. Yes, I know everyone says that, but my story is real. My story really did contain a stalker. One that wouldn't leave me alone. It was all my fault, an unfortunate accident, a horrible incident that led to the death of a whole family. Well that was what I was told anyway. It was a horrible accident that was all my fault.
I have blamed myself from the very beginning, if it wasn't for the fact Noah had pressured me into getting as high as a kite it wouldn't have happened. I wouldn't have called my dad to come and get me. As soon as I got in the car, I knew he had been drinking. I should have stopped him; we could have both slept it off and returned home safely. But no, little ol' selfish me just wanted to get home. That did, however, cause the death of 2 children a woman and a man.
But it seems like the man survived after all and has decided to spend his days torturing me.
And my life could end tomorrow. We need to pack up and leave, you see, because of this accident. Me and my brother have had to go on the run. Our mom left us when she found out what happened, and pa was the first person that felt this man's wrath and died because of him. And now he is after me. When he came for us, he nearly took me when he got pa, I don't know how I got away, but I did and now his mission is to kill me next.
I have only been living with my brother for a couple of months, pa hasn't been gone long. I was left at an orphanage for a while because they couldn't find my brother. I think I remind him too much of our parents as he didn't use to be able to look me in the eye. I don't blame him though. I have him now and I've spent a couple of months with him and that's all I wanted.
You will find out through my story I do in fact own a Bugatti Veyron, the money to pay for my car was left to me by my mom. She couldn't find it in her heart to completely abandon us and I thought it would help to get far away and fast if it was ever needed. Pa didn't like this as he was always so wary of my driving, but low and behold it wasn't me that caused an accident.
I wake up just like every normal day, checking my schedule and filling my bag with books needed for the day. Better make my last day the best day I can make it. Stumbling out the front door after eating breakfast and shouting to Daniel goodbye, I hear a faint 'goodbye munchkin' from his study. Like I normally do I stroll to school, already knowing I'm late to my first period. The day goes by as slow as it possibly could, by lunchtime my best friends are bounding up to me throwing their arms around me, giving Matt a quick kiss on the cheek like I normally do and a long hug I turn to Avery.
My best friend for the length of time I have lived this double life, I give her a bigger hug than what I gave Matt, she tells me I need to attend this party that is happening tonight at Michael's house. You would never catch me at a party hosted by any of the jocks let alone Michael, considering our dating history, but it is my last night so what have I got to lose?
My last period, history with Mr Johnson, I pay no attention. Instead I'm planning what I'm going to wear tonight, doodling in my sketchbook I come up with a couple of ideas while listening to music. I only just manage to hear the faint sound of the bell for the end of school. I casually walk home after being told by Avery to be ready to leave the house at 8, I have so many bags to pack and boxes to fill.
Once I walk into my house from school, one last time, I hear Daniel bustling in the kitchen. Great he is going to want to sit down for dinner one last time. Let me just say he is the sentimental type. I try to sneak past him to my room as I know I'm already late to my after-school activity, I sneak past him and close my bedroom door behind me. Filling a rucksack, I grab my wrap and run downstairs to Daniel.
"Hey bro, can you wrap my hands for me?" He studies me for a moment before smiling.
"You can't carry on doing this Brook. He will find you much easier this way. I know you like doing it for self-defence, but I don't agree with your methods"
