I'm walking past the gym where I fight to find that Zay is now there. Looking through the window to my room I see him sitting in my armchair, holding my band t-shirt I left there a couple of weeks ago that I didn't bother to pick up. I head into the gym and go into a room adjacent to mine looking for a pen and paper. I pick up the blank notebook that's sitting on the side and start to write him a note.

'To my loving Boyfriend, I know how much this pains you to not be able to hold me in what could be my last hours, but you know how bad I am at goodbyes. I never told you about him because I didn't want you to worry about me. I can handle myself. Tomorrow be at my house at 12 noon, there will be something for you to remember me by. I hope you don't hold this against me, I just witnessed my best friend die and it pains me even more that I didn't explain everything to you. Just remember I have and always will love you Xavier King. I want you to have the best life possible. Try not to get into too much trouble.

I will love you Always and Forever.

Lots of Love, your girlfriend, Brooklyn xx

I walk back out of the gym and back to my window to see that Xavier is still sitting in my chair, looking at the open window just metres away from the chair I slip the note through the window watching it glide down until it lands right in front of Zay. As soon as it had landed, I had walked away and into the shadows taking a shortcut back to my house. I walk through the front door at 11pm, seems to me that no one is downstairs, so I walk upstairs after taking my vans of and throwing them into the corner of the living room. I open my bedroom door for one last time and sit on the edge of my bed.

I scan my room, looking at each box and its labels. Sighing I grab the small trinket box that I have left under my bed until now and open it. Tears start to well up in my eyes as I look at all the small items that hold so many memories. Memories that I am going to have to forget if I want to keep everyone safe.

I hear a small knock on my door, and I call for them to come in, Daniel pops his head around the door and smiles at me. I wipe the tears away as he tells me that we really must leave now. I grab my duffel bag of all my clothes and quickly write a note for the guys.

Wiping some tears away, I walk out of the bedroom and close the door behind me. I walk into the kitchen and unlock my phone. I send a group text message to everyone, telling them to be at the house at 12 tomorrow. I delete all my social medias and then fill the sink with water and place my phone into it. Turning around I walk out the front door and into the car without looking back.

Daniel soon joins me in the car, letting me know that the key is under the door mat so the guys can find it. Without another look back we drive off into the night. I stare out of the window as Daniel drives down the roads I have come to love. They contain so many memories, the good and the bad, this is one town I will miss forever. But it is time to move on, he will be here soon, and I can't put all the people I love in danger, I can't ask them to put their life on the line for me.

I must have fell asleep as before I knew it, we had travelled across America from Louisiana to New York. We thought, the busier the place the less likely he is to spot us. We see Jessica's car parked outside the police station, we pull in and put on some baseball caps that Dan threw into the back.

We get out and walk into the police station, Jessica instantly recognises us and takes us into the nearest room. We sit on our own for about 10 minutes until she comes back in with another officer.

"This is FBI agent Matthew Griffins. He will be taking over your case." I look at her, no emotion shown on her face as she turns and walks away. Why did she hand our case over? She has been our agent from the start, never once passing us over to anyone when we moved states. My attention quickly gets pulled back to this Matthew guy when he talks to Daniel and uses our real names.

"Joshua, I want to make sure you and Katherine are as safe as can be." I stare at him and then back to Daniel that looks very calm and collected.

"Thank you, Matthew. Kat is all I have left, and I need to make sure she is as safe as possible." He stands from his seat and walks around the table; Matthew watches him intently until he is right behind him. He grabs him from his shirt collar and pulls him up from his chair and throws him against the nearest wall.

"Now tell me Matthew. Do you know the man that is trying to kill us like Jessica did?" My eyes go wide as I watch Daniel start to strangle him. I go to stand as he starts to violently shake his head. "Because I can assure you Matthew, that if I find out you know him and that you start to feed him information you will be the next person to die." As the words come out of his mouth, I hear a scream coming from outside, I throw open the door and race down the corridor. I don't know why I acted like this, for all I knew it could have been him coming to get me.

As I reach the end of the corridor, I burst through another door into the open part of the station that contains all the desks. I scan the room and see a body laying on the floor. From the colour of the hair and the nail paint, I could instantly tell it was Jessica. I stand frozen until I feel someone come up behind me, I tense but then let out a breath I didn't know I was holding when I saw Daniel come into view.

He takes my hand and leads me back into the room. As we reach the door, Dan pulls me into a hug.

"She deserved that Brook; she was putting your life in danger. She had contact with him and was telling him where we were heading." I nod and walk into the room to see Matthew sitting back in his chair reading from his book. He looks up when he hears us and smiles as we sit back down.
