After about an hour or so I decide to go and get everyone a cold glass of water. Rummaging through the cupboard I hear someone come in the back door.

"Jay do you know where our giant jug went." I hear a small chuckle behind me, I close my eyes as my cheeks start to blush. I now know full well that the person behind me isn't Jay I turn around and smile at him. Noticing that he is the guy that keeps winking at me, I try to control the butterflies in my stomach.

"Unfortunately, I am not Jayden, so I have no idea where the jug is but I was sent in here to help you out." His voice was deep, but not too deep that he reminds me of someone like batman or Darth Vader.

"That would be nice, I just need to find this jug so I can fill it with water." I try to reach up into the cupboard again, but my short ass can't see what I am doing. I suddenly feel hands go around my waist and I instantly freeze on the spot, my mind instantly going to Xavier and my eyes fill with tears. This mystery guy must have sensed this as he instantly backs away and apologises profusely. I regain myself and wipe the tear from my eyes, smiling I turn to him.

"No, it's fine, it just remind me of someone that I had to leave behind when it was getting really good between us." He looks at me for a moment and then sits down on one of the seats at the bar.

"Why did you have to leave." I laugh and think of an excuse; I go to speak before I get rudely interrupted.

"Our parents died; Annalise was the only survivor of the crash. We had to cross the same bridge every day to get anywhere. It hit us both hard, mom was like a rock for us. With pa having major heart problems she kept our family together. So, when they both left us in an unfortunate accident we couldn't bear the thought of being there any longer so we decided to leave." I stare at Jay for a moment, he has become the expert out of the 2 of us at lying. He shows emotion when its needed in the story and makes it sound so real to anyone that doesn't know us.

"Damn that must have been hard on you. I couldn't ever imagine losing my parents. It would probably hit my brother harder because of how much closer he is to them, even though he isn't biological related. At least you have each other to get through this." I smile up at jay as he puts his arm around my shoulder and pulls me into side hug.

"Well you know I'm Annalise and this is Jay, so what's your name?"

He stands from his seat with a smile, "It is a pleasure to meet such a beautiful woman like yourself, I'm George. You'll get to see the rest of the family tonight." I smile up at him.

"I can't wait.

Hours pass and before we knew it, it was nearly time for the party to start. We had all the guys stay and help sort out the inside of the tent and help to prepare the area for the caterers. I quickly run out of the living room and up the stairs to get ready. I take a quick shower and then browse through my wardrobe. I want to impress people tonight but also don't want to draw too much attention to myself. I opt to wear a black knee length dress with full length lace sleeves. I put some black pumps on and walk down the stairs, as I reach the bottom step, I see majority of the guys had left apart from George.

"Wow. You look absolutely stunning." I blush a little until I hear a voice shout through from the other room.

"Stop drooling George, she's only 20." He gives me a little wink which makes me blush even more. He quietly steps forward and picks up my hand, kissing the top of it.

"I'll see you later beautiful." I smile and give him a quick kiss on the cheek before he walks out the front door. Closing it behind him, I run into the other room and slap Jay on the shoulder.

"Ow lise, what the hell was that for." I roll my eyes; he is such a drama queen.

"There's was no need for you to say that. I can fend for myself."

"There was every right for me to say that. He's 24. Way too old for you, we need to be laying low if you want to start a proper life here. You can't be going after guys this time. What if we have to move again or if he starts to hurt people like he did back in california?"

I look at him and feel the tears start to appear in my eyes. "How dare you put this all on me! We had a proper life in Louisiana, it was Jessica that messed that up for us. If you didn't trust her like you did then we wouldn't have had to move, and I wouldn't have had to leave Xavier and Shane behind!"

I don't bother waiting for a reply and I storm of to my room. I just lay on my bed, staring at the ceiling until I start to hear people arriving. I grab a blanket and walk to my window, looking out I see the whole neighbourhood walking towards our house. As they get closer, I see that majority of them has either bought a small gift or some food. Laughing I see Alex and his parents walking out of their house, I continue to look as they don't shut their front door and suddenly another person appears. As he walks closer, I piece everything together. Alex was the little brother he was on about!

I stand there just staring at him, he stops at the beginning of the path and looks up. His eyes catch mine; he plasters a big smile on his face and then pairs that with a little wink before walking through the front door. I smile and feel my cheeks start to blush. With the blanket still around me, I walk into my bathroom and splash water onto my face. Walking back into my bedroom I decide to put a little makeup on, Jay has no right to tell me who I can and cannot date. If I want to get with him, I will.

After about 10 minutes, I ditch the blanket and go to walk to my bedroom door. There's a sudden knock on my door and I freeze as the handle rattles a little.

"I know you're in there Annalise. I saw you up the window." I smile to myself and stay quiet. "I'll just walk in and if you are not decent that will be your own fault." Suddenly the doors open wide and in walks George. He's gone casual yet fancy at the same time. I just stare at him, from head to toe he looks gorgeous.

"I was just coming." I glance up at his face as I don't get a reply and he stand there staring at me. I laugh and walk closer to him. Lifting my hand, I close his mouth and lean closer to his ear. "You were drooling just a little. Again." I place a teasing kiss on his cheek and go to walk away. He grabs my wrist and spins me around; he back gently hits the wall and he enclose me in his arms.

"I was not drooling babe, and even if I was, I had every right to. You look absolutely stunning, but I've already told you that." I hide my face in my hands as I feel a smile appear on my face. He gently grabs my wrists and remove them from my face. "Don't ever hide your face from the world, you're one of the most beautiful people I know." I continue to smile, and we just stand there staring at each other.

"Well I better get to the party before Jay comes up here himself to get me." George clears his throat and steps back.

"Uh yeah, um let's go." He places my hand in the crook of his elbow and escorts me to the party like a gentleman. As we walk down the stairs, everyone has their eyes on us. It was mainly girls my age that were staring and whispering between themselves, I just ignored them. I've done this so many times and each time I get the same response from girls when I get one of the hottest guys in the area to notice me.
