Chapter 37:

Dr Loin POV:
I am walking in my office so anxious to hear what the invisible spies have for me. I hope they caught Amber!!!  Evans hasn't returned back. I guess he has truly left me. I laugh wickedly.

"Oh son! You will regret this" I said.
"We're back sir" my right hand man says. I turn around to see him.

I laughed. "Did you get her?" I asked.
He shifted from one position to the other.
"Errrr no sir" he replied.
"What?!!! You didn't get her?" I asked furious.
"She escaped sir"  he replied with his head bent.
"How?!!" I yelled disappointed.
"We got distracted" he replied.

"YOU FOOL!!!!" I yelled angrily.
"Sir please she stabbed me and run away. I think she's been well trained because she was able to knock down most of the soldiers. She also came with two guys who were also good"

I exhaled heavily.
"What do we do now? She knows we are after her! I TRUSTED YOU!!!"

"We have her best friend here" he said proudly.
"Her best friend? And how is that going to help us get to her?" I asked my stupid right hand man.
"You can threaten her that you will kill her best friend and dad if she doesn't come to you" he suggested.
"Hmmm......" I tapped my chin considering his idea.
"Maybe that could work" I said.
"Let me see her" I added and sat in my throne.

The soldiers brought her forward and dumped her on the floor. She had bruises on her face and her hair was dishevelled.
She looked up at me with  anger in her grey eyes.

"Hello" I said with a toothy smile.
"Who are you and why did you bring me here" she snarled.
I dismissed the soldiers and got up.
She gasped  at how tall I was and well built.
I chuckled.
I lifted her up from the floor and removed the hand cuffs from her hand
"I am Dr Loin and I  brought you here because I ......need you" I replied in an authoritative voice.

"Why do you need me?" She snarled.
I chuckled again amused.
"Relax dearie, I won't kill you! I just need you to get to your little friend Amber"
"Amber? Why?" She asks again.
"Oh nothing!" I lied.
"You must be Adriana Hayford right?"

"Yes" she spat. "So can I go home now?" She added.
"No. No. No Adriana! You are staying here with me. Don't worry, I will take good care of you! Besides, you won't be alone! Amber's dad will keep you company"

"Amber's dad? He's alive?" She asks shocked.
"Yes! You don't know?"
"We thought he was dead" she said.
"Oh no! He has been living with me here. He's really enjoying life here"
"Please release him and me! I want to go home! My parents will be worried"

"Don't worry! I will tell your parents you're with me and don't think of going home cos you're mine now!!!" I yelled at her.
"Guards!!!" I called and they came.
"Take her to the prison!" I instructed.

"No! Leave me alone! Let me go!!!" She yelled kicking and boxing but she couldn't resist the guards.
I smiled as they dragged her away. Then I poured a glass of wine and drank it. Then I laughed.
"Cheers to a genius like me! Hahaha"

Adriana POV:
Two  muscular guards dragged me into a small cell in the prisons after talking to Dr Loin. Who is he anyway? And why does he want Amber?

I yelled curses at the two guards until they left the place.
"Adriana?" A familiar voice says.
I look at the direction of the voice to see Amber's dad.
"Mr Conic?" I said shocked.
"Oh Adriana!!! Am so glad to see you"
"Me too Mr Conic"

"What are you doing here?" He asked.
"Some soldiers brought me here"
"Oh they abducted you too" he scoffed. "I don't know what they want from my daughter" he added.
"Cos she's the chosen one" a voice says interrupting. I turn to see a lady in white suit which was turning brown with blonde hair and brown eyes.
