Chapter 33

Shopping

"This will fit perfect on you Seorin!" Seungyeon exclaimed and handed me a pink floral dress.

I'm with the mall today with Yeeun, Seungyeon, and Kino. I asked Yeeun if she could help me pick an outfit for Hyojong's pool party and she was really excited to go shopping with me.

And now, we're at the mall shopping for hours. I'm getting tired.

But the thing is, Yeeun is quiet. Seungyeon keeps getting clothes that she thinks will look good on me, while Yeeun quietly follows us while playing on her phone.

And Kino, he just follows us wherever we go to.

I'm already getting hungry but Seungyeon is still picking out clothes. I looked at Kino with a pout, he smiled.

"Are you hungry already?" he asked and I aggressively nodded.

"Yeeun, aren't you hungry?" she glanced at me and shook her head. "I'm fine."

I badly wanted to eat, but Seungyeon is still not done and is still enjoying shopping.

"I think you'll look really good in this." Kino said as he handed me a light blue off-shoulder dress.

"You think so?"

He smiled at me and nodded. I shrugged and took the dress then proceeded to the fitting room.

I put on the dress and was surprised that it fits perfectly on me. And it looked really pretty.

I changed back to my clothes and walked towards Kino and Yeeun who were laughing together. My eyebrow automatically raised.

"And just between you and me, I actually like Kino."

I remember Yeeun tell me before. I walked towards them with my arms crossed.

"Oh Seorin what do you think of the dress?"

"Fine."

"Seorinnn!" a running Seungyeon ran towards me holding a ton of dresses.

"I think all of this suits you, come on try them on and pick what you like."

I gulped at the dresses she's holding, it's like four dresses.

I proceeded to try them on anyway and I could say that Seungyeon's fashion taste is really nice.

I had a hard time picking one because all of them looks really good. I wanted to buy them all but I have a budget.

"So what did you pick?" Seungyeon excitedly asked as I got out of the fitting room.

"Well, it all looks pretty and I wanna buy them all but-"

"That's nice! I'm paying then, as a treat."

My eyes widened, "No it's fine, I still have some-"

"Don't worry about it, I enjoyed shopping with you anyway. Leave it to me."

Before I could once again protest, she got all of the dresses I was holding and went to the counter to pay.

"Thank you Seungyeon."

She smiled at me, "No problem."

"But your shoes-"

"It's fine," I cut her off, "I already have a lot at home that could fit these dresses."

"Okay then. Let's eat now? I'm hungry." we both chuckled.

"Oh wait!" I remembered the dress Kino gave me and searched for it. Once I found it, I went to the counter to pay.

Seungyeon looked at me and I smiled, "I'm also buying this."

"Nice taste." she commented.

After paying, we went to look for Kino and Yeeun. While walking, Seungyeon asked about me and Kino.

"Yeeun told me she likes Kino. You better watch out." she winked at me. I raised an eyebrow at her.

She chuckled, "You're scary when you're jealous."

"Where are those two anyway?"

After roaming around almost the whole mall, we saw them walking casually while eating ice cream.

I felt my chest tighten, and my eyebrow raised once again at the sight of them.

They looked surprised when they saw me. Yeeun let out a quiet laugh while Kino gulped.

"There you two are! We've been looking all over for you." Seungyeon exclaimed then secretly nudged me with a smirk.

"Told you, you better watch out." she whispered. I smacked her arm and shot her a glare.

"Hey! No need to be violent."

Silence then filled the atmosphere. People chattering around was the only thing we could hear.

"Let's eat? Seorin is treating us!"

"Yeah let's go." I clung into Seungyeon's arm and started walking.

"She's cute but scary when she's jealous." I heard Yeeun whisper. I glanced at her but she was focused on her phone.

"Wooseok hasn't replied yet." Yeeun blurted out once we arrived at the donut shop.

"Wooseok?"

"Yeah Jung Wooseok." she said then sighed. I looked at her with an eyebrow raised.

Have I mentioned that my eyebrow automatically raises at anyone whenever I'm in a bad mood.

"I asked if he could come here then hangout after we shop. But he still hasn't replied yet."

I suddenly got curious what's going on between them. "What's up with you and Wooseok?"

"Best friends." she simply said and glanced at her phone the moment it rang.

She excused herself and picked up the phone. The three of us felt joy when our order came.

"Where were you earlier?" Seungyeon asked and took a bite of the donut.

"Somewhere."

"And where is that somewhere?"

Kino and Seungyeon looked at me then bursted out laughing. My eyebrows furrowed as I look at them.

"No need to be jealous Seorin, she just wanted to buy Wooseok something."

I simply nodded and continued eating my donut. Later on, Yeeun arrived with a wide smile on her face.

"See you later guys, Wooseok is here." she glanced at Kino and mouthed a 'thank you'.

"Ah!" Seungyeon blurted out then smiled. "They're celebrating their 3 years of friendship."

Yeeun winked at her then waved goodbye. "She didn't even touch her donut."

After that, we talked about random things. We were laughing until Seungyeon's friend, Seunghee, texted her to meet her.

Now that leaves Kino and I alone. Once we finished the last piece of donut, he said he was gonna take me home.

"It's getting late, you should get in and rest.

"Okay then, good night."

"Sleep well Seorin." he said with a smile. And despite all the jealousy I felt earlier, my heart softened upon seing his smile.
