Chapter 46

Big Brother

After watching a movie with the boys, Kino left and Hui went upstairs leaving me to clean the place.

After washing the dishes and tidying the sofa, I walked upstairs to my room and was surprised to see Hui sitting on the chair of my study table.

"What are you doing here?"

He turned to look at me, "I want to know how are you feeling? I know you have been hurt and were in pain during our trip in Japan. I always noticed your puffed eyes every morning." he stood up and walked towards me then begin patting my head.

"If only you know how bad I wanted to reach you last night, but Hongseok kept insisting me that he'll take care of you. I wanted to confront Kino too but I know he's not in a good state to be scolded last night."

My eyes grew wide due to surprise and worry, "Was he really a mess?"

"Just like your room." I smacked him but chuckled. "Yeah, we had a 'talk' man-to-man."

I slowly nodded, really curious what they talked about. "I'm glad you guys are okay now. But once he breaks your heart again, I won't hesitate to break his bones."

My lips curved into a smile at my protective brother. "Thank you Hui."

He smiled too, "All the time lil sis. I have to go to Hyojong's right now so see you later." he said as he went out.

I called the girls and invited them to come over. After 15 minutes have passed, they arrive with chicken and pizza. 

"Hey girls, I missed you."

Hongseok's POV

The sky was bright and the sun is shining beneath the clouds. The air was cool and still a bit cold. The weather is nice today as I was roaming down the streets due to boredom.

I got a text from Hui saying that Seorin and Kino are okay again, I sigh out of relief. 

I'm really happy for them, although it kind of hurts a little inside. But I keep brushing that feeling away ever since they both confessed to each other.

During those times of my Chingudeul set-up, I can't help but a part of me grew fond of Seorin. 

She can be intimidating and looks strong on the outside, but deep inside she's a softy. She's sweet and friendly. She has the energy that makes you feel comfortable. She's determined to reach her goals although she can be a bit lazy sometimes. She can also be savage when in reality, she's sensitive like Kino. 

But too bad she's taken already. Although sometimes it keeps crossing my mind, what if I gave her a chance when she confessed? What if her feelings were reciprocated before she fell for Kino? Would I be happy? Would I be inlove right now?

Those are only what ifs and will remain as what ifs. She's already happy and that's what matters to me, even if it's with someone.

It hurts but what can I do? At least I know that she is with someone worthy, and that's Kino.

I saw a bench nearby and decided to take a rest.

Maybe I should also find the one for me?

"Don't look for it bro."

I was startled when a voice spoke behind me. Turning around, it was Jinho with a cup of coffee in his hand. He sat beside me and let out a sigh.

"Sometimes it's hard to find something when you're looking for it. You feel as if a ghost is playing with you." he takes a sip of his coffee, "Love shouldn't be rushed. Anything that is rushed doesn't turn out good. Just wait for the time that you'll meet the one. Eventually, she'll come."

"Woah are you a love expert?" I teasingly asked him.

He rolled his eyes, followed by a scoff. "Aren't you the cupid one here?"

I snickered, "Then I guess cupid is heartbroken. Just kidding."

He glanced at me, he looked surprise. "You like Seorin too..."

"Liked." I correct him and look up at the sky. It's a good day and the weather is perfect so why am I feeling like this. It's just a small crush but why does it hurt?

Jinho handed me his cup of coffee, I look at it then at him. "It's good try it." he says.

When I accept it, he stands up and pats my shoulder. "You'll be fine dude." then he walks away.

I took a sip and feel mesmerized by the taste. I quickly called Jinho to ask him where he bought it.

"At Dalgom Cafe at Myeongdeong."

I roam the busy streets of Myeongdeong, searching for the coffee shop where Jinho bought his sweet, delicious coffee. And that's when I found it.

I entered and was greeted by the sweet aroma of coffee. The place looks cozy, the interior filled with neutral colors like beige, cream and dark brown. Gray soft-looking sofas where around along with some small plants.

I walked towards the counter to place my order but no one was there. I peeked through the counter and was surprised when a short but cute lady stood up. She looks as if she was studying since I saw some notebooks she was holding. 

"I'm sorry for the inconvenience sir, what would you like to order?"

"May I ask? How old are you? You seem young to be working at a cafe."

She smiled, "I'm still in high school. I just work part time here since my older sister owns and runs the cafe."

I nodded out of astonishment. I guess we're the same age but she's already open to working.

"I'm Yang Hongseok." I smiled. 

I saw a blush appear on her cheeks which made me smile wider. 

"I'm Yoon Jiwoo."
