"Come on, honey." A man begged. "Wouldnt it be great if we adopted a child?"

"It would..." The short woman looked at her feet. "But it- it would cost so much..."

"Aw, come on!" The man smiled. "If we can't have one of our own, why not adopt one?"

The woman stayed silent. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, whispering to herself.

"We could try it out..." She smiled at her husband. "Let's go get approved for being foster parents."

The man's smile grew. He leaned down and hugged his wife.

"I love you, Inko."

"I love you too, hun."

"Welcome to our festival!" A woman gestured to the activities going on behind her. "Now, go and look around with the children. If you are interested in any child here, please write their name down on the piece of paper our staff gave you."

As everyone was released, the children tried to grab the attention of some of the couples. Some were showing off their quirks, some were just trying to play games with others.

But there was one child that wasn't trying to get the attention of anyone.

This boy got the attention of the Midoriya's.

He had what looked like hummingbird wings on his back. His skin was pale, with patches of small shiny feathers on his skin. The said feathers decorated his cheeks, hands, neck, and legs.

He seemed sad.

The Midoriya couple approached the bird child. He looked up at the pair. His eyes surprised the couple.

His pupils were white. His irises were a mixture of blue, brown, and green. His eyes seemed to match his feathers.

"Hello there." The man said. "What's your name?"

"Uh..." The small boy shifted in the spot he sat at. "Izuku Akiyama."

The couple sat down across from him.

"I'm Inko and this is my husband." Inko smiled at the boy.

"Are you wanting to be my momma and poppa?" Izuku asked.

"We would love to, Izu." The man ruffled the boy's shiny green hair.

Inko wrote Izuku's name on the paper and smiled at him.

"Well, would you like to play something with your poppa, Izu?" The man stood up.

Izuku's eyes widened and stood up as well.

"Um.. yes I would..."

"Lead the way!"

Inko watched them play with each other with a soft smile plastered onto her face.

And she knew that she would love Izuku from then on.
