Izuku woke up to the suffocating smell of antiseptic. He ignored the pain that rushed through his body and sat up.

His eyes slowly adjusted to the bright lights of the hospital room and looked around. He found Toko-nii and Tsu-To to his left. Both were asleep. To his right was Kacchan and Yagi-Ku.

"Yagi-Ku." Izuku shook the No. 1 hero awake. "Why are you here?"

"Hmm?" Yagi-Ku wiped away some droll. "Oh, Young Midoriya!"

"Yeah, that's my name. Why are you here?"

"I had gotten a visitor badge." Yagi-Ku pointed to a little nametag. "So I'm not All Might, I'm your Uncle Yagi!"

"..." Izuku didn't look amused. "We look nothing like each other."

"You never know what you can get away with these days."

The two of them talked about some things until everyone else started to wake up. Yagi-Ku put on his Uncle Yagi persona the moment someone opened their eyes.

"Izu-chan!" Toko-nii sighed in relief. "I thought you were dead."

"No, you didn't." Tsu-To pulled on one of Toko-nii's feathers. "But he did say that if you were dead, he would sacrifice your body to the ancient bird gods."

"You fucktards." Kacchan jolted awake. "I was sleeping."

"Tsu-To," Izuku interrupted Kacchan. "Thanks for saving me back there. I thought I would be dinner for those guys."

"How come she gets a nickname so early?" Toko-nii growled. "It took you at least 3 months for me to get mine..."

"No need to thank me, ribbit." She smiled. "I should owe you my life. You jumped in front of that scary man for me."

She stood up and bowed.

"Pff," Izuku nervously laughed, not used to people thanking him like this. "It was nothing."

A knock on the door was heard and someone walked in.

"Coming through!" A man with short black hair let himself in. "All... I mean... Yagi! Long time no see!"

"Oh, Tsukauchi" Yagi-Ku sputtered. "Kids, if you'll excuse me."

The man and "Uncle Yagi" left the room, leaving the group to themselves.

Once they left, Tsu-To spoke up.

"Izuku, I have a question."

"What is it?"

"Your personality seems all over the place." The tilted her head. "You're really mean to Ochaco-chan, and then turn around and be all buddy-buddy with these two boys."

"Uh...well..." Izuku rubbed the back of his neck. "She reminds me of someone. I don't really remember him that much, but she reminds me so much of him."

"Who?"

"My father." He looked away from her. "He died when I was really young. I don't know why, but every time I look at her, all the grief comes back and I... can't handle it."

"Well, maybe you should be nicer to her sometimes." Toko-nii butted in. "If you're feeling all this grief, why don't you... counteract it by facing it head-on?"

"I'll try."

Tsu-To raised her hand.

"Another question, ribbit."

"Hm?"

"Why are you so mean to Iida-Kun? Do you feel the same way?"

"Oh no," Izuku laughed. "He just pisses me off. I guess Kacchan rubbed off on me a little bit haha."
