"The kid who ranks last... gets expelled...!?" The girl who keeps annoying Izuku yelled. "This is our first day here!! But even if it weren't... that's just too unreasonable!!"

"Natural disasters... massive accidents... ego-mad villains... all kinds of calamities can happen when we least expect them. Japan's now positively drenched in 'unreasonable.'" Mr. Aizawa yawned and scratched his head. "And it's our job as heroes to reverse it all and restore reason."

Everyone looked around at each other in slight worry.

"If you were counting on a friendly chat at the local McDonalds after school, that's too bad." Mr. Aizawa continued. "From now on, for the next three years, all you can expect from your life at UA is one hardship after the next."

Mr. Aizawa yawned again and smiled.

"This is 'plus ultra.' I expect you to overcome these trials and climb to the top."

Everyone started to get pumped. The annoying girl clenched her fists and put on a brave face. Blue Boy looked like he was about to kill someone. Kacchan rolled out his shoulder again. Izuku looked to his left and right and found almost everyone was relaxed or too stressed.

"Time to step up to the plate." Mr. Aizawa walked toward the 50-meter dash area.

Izuku watched everyone race.

Blue Boy got 3.04 seconds against the Green Girl. Frog-Girl? Izuku decided he needed to get better at nicknames. Green Girl got 5.58 seconds, which is still not bad.

The annoying girl touched her shoes when it was her turn to go. He figured it was some sort of gravity quirk, but she still lost to the Tail Dude. She was a bit behind him and got 7.15 seconds.

It was time for Izuku and Kacchan to race against each other. Izuku looked over to Toko-nii, who just gave him a thumbs up.

Kacchan crossed his arms over each other, shouting: "Blast Rush!"

Izuku took the hint and spread his wings out to their full potential, wanting to blind Kacchan with their length and to push himself forward.

Izuku pushed himself forward, the force of his push knocking kacchan back a little bit.

"4.13 seconds!" The machine told him when he crossed the finish line.

He looked back at Kacchan when he crossed the line.

"7.02 seconds!"

"Damn, Deku," Kacchan growled. "You played a bit dirty, huh? I like it!" He smiled at Izuku.

"Thanks?" Izuku tilted his head.

Grip strength was next.

When he got the grip machine, he wrapped his wings around his hands, like a second pair of arms.

He squeezed with all his might.

When a heard a small 'beep' he looked at the Grip Machine Screen.

It read 76 kgw.

Izuku smiled a bit to himself. It was way better than his 40 kgw in middle school.

He decided to look around, doing his favorite thing: watching.

A tall guy with many arms had gotten 540. A lot of people surrounded him, amazed.

Standing long jumps was next.

Easy.

Izuku had swung his arms a couple of times and when he jumped, he pushed himself forward with his wings, hitting the other side of the pavement.

Sustained Sideways Jumps.

He couldn't use his quirk much for this.

He just spread his wings to give himself a bit of a handy cap and to make himself a bit thinner, making the jumping easier.

He looked around while he was jumping, and found a small boy with purple balls on his head doing much better than him.

Gravity Girl aced The Pitch. All she did was touch the ball and toss it, earning herself an infinity.

When it was his turn, he was shaking. Everyone was looking at him. He didn't like it. He could feel the glaring. He could hear their thoughts. They were doubting him.

He grabbed the ball and got ready to pitch.

He couldn't focus.

He was going to get expelled. He failed. He couldn't do it.

Ma... Toko-Nii... Kacchan... Yagi-Ku.... sorry...

Izuku reeled his arm back.

But then he felt something grab him around his wings, stopping him entirely.

"How did someone like you manage to enter this academy?" Mr. Aizawa sighed. "From what I observed... you're a coward. Too afraid of his shadow to manage simple everyday tasks. How do you think you'll do in an extremely stressful situation? You'll freeze up."

Mr. Aizawa walked up to Izuku and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"You need to get tough skin if you intend to become a hero. I know you were giving up, not giving yourself a change." Mr. Aizawa pointed to the ball that was in Izuku's hands. "I want you to give it your all. I promise you that you'll surprise yourself."

And with that, Mr. Aizawa went back to where he was standing before.

He's right... I need to toughen up.

Izuku took a deep breath a threw the ball.

He felt extreme pressure behind his throw. How? He didn't have a physical quirk.

He looked up at Mr. Aizawa when he realized the ball was out of his hands and nowhere in sight.

"Oho.....!" Mr. Aizawa showed him the machine.

505.3 m.

"Izu-chan!" Toko-nii hugged him. "You didn't tell me you had a physical part of your quirk! That's is cool!"

Kacchan came up and pat him on the shoulder, nodding passively.

Izuku looked around. He was confused. When did his quirk get a physical part? It doesn't make any sense...

He decided he would worry about it later.
