I'm in a novel

Chapter 1

"Fight to the top" is currently one of the famous harem novels that are popular in the entire Korea especially among the youngster. The story is about the progression of the protagonist in dominating the underworld economy while pretending to be a normal high school student. Along the way, he meets a lot of people that either turned into his harem or comrades or even enemies. The story gets intense when suddenly a new teacher who turned out to be the undercover police transfer into the same school and the protagonist struggles to hide his identity. To make it short, in the end, after many years the organization made by the protagonist becomes the most powerful in the underworld and he enjoys his own harem while he wipes out all his enemies.

"So how is it?" Samuel asked as he sipped on his cup of tea, his leg crossing under the table comfortably and eyes not leaving the other figure in front of him who seems uninterested.

That said figure put the novel that he was holding on the table between them and gives a long sigh before staring back at the person who sat opposite of him and who he recognized as his best friend, Samuel.

"There are a lot of plot holes that I could point out and seems like the protagonist background is also not well explained. Though sometimes the story gets a little unrealistic, overall it is a good story."

"Exactly, as expected we have the same views on this" Samuel smiled widely at the replied "Daniel, do you think it would be worth it to interview this author"

Daniel snorted at him "Why asking for my opinion, just do the interview if you are interested, it's for your magazine anyway"

Apparently, Samuel owned a big company that produces popular magazines that famous around the older and recently among the youngster too. He had been a good friend with Daniel since high school and to Daniel's knowledge, Samuel had been obsessing with all kind of novel and celebrities. He never misses any kind of news in that field so he is not surprised that Samuel decided to open a magazine company after graduated from college.

"You see after this novel become famous no one ever heard about the author" Samuel whispered the last part as he leans in on the table "The name here is not his real name" he pointed at the bottom of the book.

Daniel read the name on the cover page of the novel " Leon Krause" he frowned and asked, "You can't contact them?"

"I couldn't contact the author" Samuel clicked his tongue and continued " Though I heard a lot of interesting things about the author from his company"

Daniel stared at him impatiently as he waited for him to continued. However, instead of continuing Samuel smiled mischievously "What? Are you interested in it now? Just a moment ago you have a boring expression on your face" his smile unconsciously widen.

Daniel rolled his eyes "If you are not gonna continue I am leaving" Though he is saying that his body saying the otherwise as his finger kept drumming on the table impatiently as if urging Samuel to continued his story.

"Does it hurt to say that you are curious" Samuel muttered under his breath and Daniel pretended not to hear it.

"So the author actually had gone missing since the novel was published. Apparently, all his things are still in his house including his handphone and identification card so there is a no way he could go far. They had made a police report but there is still no news about him. In short, the author just disappeared without any traces." Samuel continued and glance at his friend who is still processing all the things he said.

Daniel wore a frown on his face, looking like he is doubting what Samuel had just told him, and his brown eyes moved to pay attention to his own hand on the table making his long eyelash visible to others and he lost in his thought. His brown hair looks soft and surprisingly complements with his snow-white skin. There is a soft breath in between his slightly opened pale lips and his button nose are slightly red due to the cold aircond in the café they are in right now. Samuel secretly sighed at the sight, he long knows that Daniel is really good looking but he could never get used to it. Daniel finally looks at him and Samuel snapped out of his thought.
