Chapter 2

The next morning, after being woken by the noise of woman's cries coming from beside him, Daniel drowsily rubbed his eyes in confusion. He turned his head to the right and surprised to see an unknown woman are sitting on the chair beside his single bed. Huh? I don't have a single bed.

Daniel thought he was dreaming and tried to sit up but a sudden headache suddenly hits him. Daniel groaned in pain and hold his head hoping for the pain to subside. The woman however after saw that Daniel had woken up, she cried harder and pinch his pale arm angrily.

"Aigoo, this little kid you make me so worried!" the woman continued her babbled and Daniel flinched in pain at the sudden attack on his arm before he stared at the woman like she is crazy.

"You- You dare to glare at your sister!" The woman's eyes widen angrily before she repeatedly pinched his arm in a different spot.

"Ow, wait, ow" Daniel tried to talk in between her attack but the woman keeps babbling angrily giving him no chance to interrupted. Is this how she treats a sick person!?

It's only for a moment but Daniel was able to scan the room he is in and found out that he is actually in the hospital. He tried to remove the hand that keeps harrasing his arm but was stop mid-air before he stared blankly at his own arm. In front of his eyes were a pair of an extremely fat and pale arm.

After noticing that Daniel stop resisting, the women stop attacking and continue her babbling, however, Daniel pays no attention to her, instead, he sluggishly propped himself up and discovers there is something amiss on his body. This.. this is definitely not his body!

These flabby stomachs are definitely different from his well-trained body and these big legs that lack any muscle are totally different from his strong leg that can run for hundreds of meters without stopping. As someone who is actively involved in sport during his teenage year and had been maintaining a healthy body out of habit since then, the situation he is in right now is definitely the biggest insult to ever happened to his life.

Daniel silently cries in his heart and his eyes rapidly scanning the room hoping to find the answer he is seeking for. Realizing that nothing could answer him, he turned his attention to the woman that claimed to be his sister. Sighing, he takes a deep breath and decided to ask.

"Who am I?"

"There is nothing wrong with his body" The doctor checks his pulse and scanned inside of his mouth for a moment before turning his attention back to the woman. "The sudden disappearance of memories is maybe due to the shocked in experiencing near-drowning accidents. The memories will recover over time so there is no need to worry, however, if he shows any abnormalities please make sure he gets suitable medical attention"

The woman nodded before thanking the doctor and hurriedly sit beside Daniel after the doctor had left.

"You don't really remember what happened?" She asked sadly and Daniel replied by staring blankly at her.

After making sure that Daniel is allowed to go home, they both ride a car to a supposedly his 'house'. Daniel is surprised to find that his house is actually a luxuries apartment in Seoul which is an apartment that he definitely can't afford if he were a real Daniel. Daniel found out that even though the body he is in now is different from his, his name is still the same which is Daniel.

They both entered into the house after putting a password on the digital door lock and then his 'sister' carefully explained what he needs to know before reluctantly leaving.

"If you need anything, my number is in your speed dial" she reminded him before the door closed with a soft click.

Daniel rest his head on the couch and sighed heavily. Based on the information by his 'sister' which is called 'Hana', he was fishing with a few of his friend by the banks of the river before he slipped and fell into the water resulting him almost die drowning. Luckily he was saved by one of his friends and survived. Hana also explained that he is still in high school and have class tomorrow which confused him to the max.

What he understands is that he is a 19 years old student who repeats a year in high school, which means that he is actually stupid. Both of his parents live abroad due to their job in managing their company. His parent rarely contacts him and only sent money once a month, therefore, his sister had been taking care of him in place of them for a long time. Due to being pampered and spoilt by his sister, he becomes fat.

What actually happened? Why am I in someone else life?

He actually turned fat and younger after that night he opened the "Fight to the top" novel and moreover what happened to his real body? Did he die...

He closed his eyes and muttered to himself "There is no time to be sad about it, it already happened, at least I'm still breathing and alive here " He is surprised that he is able to be calm up to this point. But did he really die though...

He struggled in his pocket pant for a few moments before settling all his thing on the table in front of him. This pant is tight ugh damn you fat thigh making my life harder. Daniel cursed inside his mind and check his purse that he found in his pocket, there are his identification card, platinum credit card, coupons, a small amount of paper money and a bunch of coins. He checks the last card which turns out to be his so-called parents' business card.

"Fast Speed Sport... placed in Japan" Daniel struggled to read the small printed writing before he gasped in surprise.

Wait! Wait! I know this company!

Daniel widened his eyes in surprise, obviously, this company does not exist in the real world but he remembers the name of this company clearly like a back of his hand. This Fast Speed Sport exists in the novel called "Fight to the top" that he had read, it is a shoemaker company that is widely known around the world with a famous brand called 'Mighty'.

Unknowingly to the public eyes, this company that is run by both of his parents also involved in an illegal market which is quite famous in the underworld. They are famous for smuggling drugs, however, a few years later they are exposed by the government and their company are forced to be taken down. In the novel, it was explained thoroughly that it was the protagonist that lead the government into figuring out the secret of that company. It is understandable as they have been enemy for many generations.

So, I am their son?

Daniel didn't know if he is blessed or just plain unlucky. He left to his room and check all the document that could help him but ended up disappointed when he only found a bunch of his fail school exam papers. He saw a big PC beside him and decided to turn it on. The first thing he searches is about his parent company for confirmation and open a few folder stores in the PC. He spends a few hours figuring out things and he finally accepted his fate.

There are only one thing he sure of, he transmigrates into a novel as one of the cannon fodders characters which soon will be killed by the protagonist brutally. He remembers there is a character that has the same name as him, however, this character didn't receive much spotlight or thoroughly explain in the novel so he doesn't know much about the body he is in right now. He meant it when he told Samuel the other day that this novel had a lot of plot holes and this is one of it.

After some thinking, he makes up his mind to change his fate and have a peaceful life before he figures out how to go back to his own world.

But how...

His train of thought is cut off when suddenly his stomach makes a grumbling sound, Daniel looks at his plump stomach in pity and decided.

"First let lose some weight" He muttered to himself and walked to the kitchen to find some food.

He found a box of Lay's chips on the table and stared at it for a long time before hurriedly opened it.

"I'll start dieting tomorrow"
