Chapter 4

In the novel, it was mentioned that the main protagonist has a nyctophobia which is an extreme fear of night or darkness that can cause intense symptoms of anxiety and depression. However, the phobia was soon overcome by the protagonist after the event of being locked inside the warehouse but his hatred toward the perpetrator behind it darken. This sadly applies to Daniel.

Daniel also remembers the one who finds the protagonist in a pitiful state the next day of being locked is one of the protagonist harems, Chaoxing. Chaoxing is a pretty half Chinese girl who is spoiled by her parent and act cold to the other, moreover, she falls in love with the protagonist at first sight but was reluctant to admit to it. This is because she is used to people going head over heel with her and not the other way around. 

 The school finally ended and Daniel hurriedly left the school. Instead of having an expensive car to head home like other students, Daniel casually walking to the bus stop and wait for the bus while ignoring other people sending weird glance to him. It is obvious that this original body would never take public transport even though the world end as he is super arrogant and doesn't want to lose his pride by riding something a low life would ride.

Daniel arrived at the hospital with a bag of baked sweet potatoes he bought at the nearest stall. As far as he can remember, the protagonist really likes eating sweet potatoes, in other words, it was his favorite food. Daniel doesn't think showing his face to the protagonist right now would be a good idea, it is like adding oil to a burning fire. Therefore, he is going to secretly look at the protagonist condition and leave the food there.

Daniel goes to the counter to ask a few questions to the nurse in charge of Hyunjae and politely thanked them before heading to the room where Hyunjae was placed. After making sure the protagonist was asleep and no ones were around, Daniel entered the room without making any noise.

Daniel stands beside the single bed and carefully examined the patient. The protagonist's face is very pale, looking like the blood was sucked out of him and his lips are dry with traces of cuts maybe due to excessive biting of lips. However, due to being sick, the handsome features are still apparent with a perfectly straight eyebrow, long eyelashes, tall nose, and defined cheekbones. The protagonist halo is definitely blinding him but he can't help but noticed how pitiful the protagonist look like when sleeping like this.

His eyes traced down to his weak body and stopped at the Hyunjae's hand. Both of his hand are completely covered in a bandaged and his chest throbbed at the sight, his hand unconsciously tighten into a fist.

In the novel, the author goes into full details when explaining the state of the protagonist when locked in the warehouse. Apparently, during the night, the protagonist has a panic seizure and was scratching his nail at the closed door, pleading for someone to open the door until he passed out. It lasts for hours and the protagonist almost loses his fingernails.

"I'm sorry..." Daniel mumbled under his breath, if only he transmigrates a bit early the protagonist does not have to experience something terrible like this.

He puts the baked sweet potatoes on the table besides the bed and was going to leave but was stop in his step as he was faced with a girl wearing the same uniform as him.

"Who are you?" Chaoxing asked a bit annoyed that there is someone inside the room beside her.

Daniel was dumbstruck, the girl was as pretty as a doll! Her skin looks so porcelain and white along with a petite body that would make any guys feel like protecting.
