Chapter 7

The sky was black however the stars light the sky like a snow-flake, blindingly beautiful. In other words, it was a peaceful night but not for Daniel as he witnesses something that he can't ignore. Without much thought, Daniel had followed the suspicious car that has abducted the protagonist and his action has lead to the uncomfortable situation he is in right now.

Not far from where he is, he saw the unconscious protagonist was dragged inside an abandoned factory by three men wearing a suit. After 10 minutes, the three men get out of the factory and stands in front of the entrance before calling someone on his phone, looking serious. After having a short phone call, they hurriedly closed the garage door of the factory before disappeared along with their car, completely oblivious that there are a pair of eyes watching every move they made.

Inside the factory, the protagonist was alone and when he wakes up, he feels a sudden pain behind his head which reminds him of the event that had happened. He groaned in pain and unconsciously tried to move his hand to check the injury, however, he soon realized the position he is in. His hand was tied behind his back and both of his feet were tied against the leg of the chair he was made to sits.

Giving up to move, he decided to checks his surroundings calmly while trying to process the reason he was abducted. Luckily, there is enough light for him to see his surroundings, there are unusable machines not far from him and a lot of vat containers. After spending some time looking around from his seat, he realized that he is in an abandoned oil factory.

Not long after that, the old garage door was opened, creating a loud sound. Hyunjae stays stiff on his seat, facing the direction of the entrance where the noise was coming from. He saw the three men who abducted him walk inside and was surprised to see the extra person along with them. His blood boils at the sight of a person smiles arrogantly at him, looking down at him mockingly.

"So it was you" Hyunjae mumbled under his breath, his jaw tensed in anger.

" Hello there, I didn't expect to capture you will be this easy"

Hyunjae shut his mouth at the reply and glared dangerously at the person he acknowledged as his cousin, Lee Taehyun.

Hyunjae was 8 years old when he lost both of his parents, therefore, since then, Uncle Lee had been taking great care of him. Uncle Lee who is actively involved in a criminal organization only has one son at that time, Taehyun. Both Hyunjae and Taehyun used to be close however, it changes as they both grow up. Uncle Lee is always assertive toward Taehyun but lenient toward Hyunjae, this difference of treatment stir jealousy inside Taehyun.

It becomes worse when Uncle Lee wanted Hyunjae to inherit his position in the organization instead of his own son. Taehyun who is already filled with jealousy feels like he was treated unfairly. Since then, there is an obvious conflict between these two that is growing stronger and stronger every day.

"Now stop looking at me like that" Taehyun amusedly reply before walking closer to his cousin and standing close in front of him.

When Hyunjae continues glaring, Taehyun feels a sudden irritation inside him and angrily grabs the other chin, tilting the other head so he could look straight into that fierce eyes.

"Who are you to look at me like that? Are you angry?" Taehyun hatefully growled "Blame yourself for it, it was me who is supposed to be angry here"

Taehyun let go of the other chin, his throat dry "It seems like you are always in my way" he continued after calming down a bit while showing a document on his hand.

Hyunjae stared at the document, face lacking emotion as a realization hit him what makes the other pissed off this time.

"This is not the first time you steal my investor, Hyun" Hyunjae feels nauseous at the sudden nickname, only someone close to him call him that, hearing it from someone he despises didn't feel good.
