Chapter 11

"Dan-'"

"Daniel..."

"Daniel...!" Sangwook shouted while shaking the unconscious Daniel.

Daniel's eyes finally open in surprised and Sangwook stop shaking the poor boy. Daniel feels his head throbbed in pain as the younger slowly help him to sit up. There is a look of confusion plaster on his face as he holds the throbbing head while trying to remembers what happened to him. The worry expression on the younger face makes him suddenly grasped the situation.

Ah right, I'm at this boy house...

They are currently in a room where there is only a bookcase around them. It was a small study room because Daniel can see a table located in the middle of the room with piles of paper on it. After properly scanning his surrounding, Daniel decided to pay attention to his head that had been aching since he wakes up. It bothers him so he carefully reaches toward the back of his head only to find it bleeding. He ignores the pain. He is more curious as to why he is here.

"What happened?" Daniel asked, his voice hoarse.

"We are locked in here" Sangwook answered in a frustrated tone. "That bunch of bastard dares to mess with my family" he muttered as his hand forming into a fist "I will make them pay for this"

Daniel stared at the younger which makes Sangwook stared back at him with a frowned on his face. "What's wrong?" he asked, slightly annoyed.

Daniel sighed "Nothing, it's just... you're looking better than I thought"

Daniel remembers the desperate tone Sangwook used when he called him over the phone. At that time, he thought Sangwook was finally losing his mind. However, looking at the younger now, he is still acting like his usual self.

Sangwook scratched his head awkwardly "It was just an act to get you over here" he paused "I- uh I'm sorry for getting you involved in this" he apologizes suddenly feeling guilty.

They are in this current situation right now is because Sangwook called him over to this location which turns out to be at Sangwook's house. When Daniel arrived at his house, he was welcome with a couple of guys forcing him to obediently follow their instruction and to quietly come into the house. Not only that, his phone and any possible weapon are also being seized by them.

After he was forced into the house, Daniel noticed a man in a wheelchair and a woman surrounded by two men who is pointing a gun at them. He assumed them to be Sangwook's parent. Sangwook however was tied up tightly with clothes covering his mouth because he won't stop struggling and shouting. At that time Daniel finally understood that this group of men is bad news.

Daniel was forced to sit on the floor before the man who seems to be the leader throw a few questions at him. After answering a bunch of confusing question, he accidentally angers the leader which resulting him being knocked out. No wonders his head was throbbing when he wakes up.

"What that group of men wants from your family anyway?" Daniel asked while turning the doorknob of the room they are in, as expected it was locked.

Sangwook hesitated "I overheard they talking about a really important document that went missing" he paused to think, "I think it went missing about a few days ago"

Daniel processed the information carefully.

"I don't know why but they are suspecting my whole family"

Instead of getting the police involved, they decided to threaten the people they suspect; it could only mean one thing. The document that they desperately trying to get back contains illegal stuff.

There is one thing he doesn't understand though.

"Then why did you call me for?" Daniel asked curiously.

Sangwook seems unhappy at the question. He remembers the image of his father begging the men to not involved him in this. "They are giving me a chance to prove myself that I was not involved in this bullshit so they asked me what I was doing or where am I when the missing document take place" he sighed "Of course they are not that easy to persuade so I could only think of one way to prove my word" Sangwook glanced at Daniel who is waiting for him to continue "Another person who could tell what I was doing these past few days, I could only think of you"

Daniel was a bit surprised.

No wonder they asked such a weird question.

They are both locked inside here means that they are no longer needed for them. In another word, Sangwook plan to prove that he is not involved is a success. Sangwook is quite lucky, Daniel is sure that the younger's parent will be more at ease when Sangwook was finally let go, for now.

"But my parent is still with them" Sangwook said, lips forming into a straight line. "I'm not sure what to do, do we wait? No way" Sangwook asked as he gritted his teeth in frustration for not being able to do anything to help his parent. Moreover, they had a gun and they don't seem like normal people, there is a lot of possibility running inside his head to what would happen.

Daniel didn't reply and began thinking. According to what he had seen, the group of man is around fifteen people or more, they have outnumbered them. If they can't fight them all, then, the only way is probably to run and escape. Daniel then thought of how to save both Mr and Mrs Kang. As he was thinking, he feels like the answer is obvious.

That's right, in this kind of situation, it is only right to involve the police.

Daniel turns his head toward Sangwook who had been staying in silence. Currently, Sangwook is still sitting at the place where Daniel was laying down just now meanwhile Daniel was standing in front of the locked door. Looking at the poor kid who was looking up at him with a hopeful eye makes his heart shake slightly.

"Do you want to escape from here...and get help?" Daniel asked, breaking the silence between them.

Sangwook perked at the question "Do you have the way?"

There is a hopeful look on his face that makes Daniel feels guilty because it would not be easy. The ideas he had in mind is kind of stupid and dangerous. However, this is the only thing he can think of at the moment.

Daniel nervously looks at younger before sighing in defeat.

"Okay, come here" Daniel ordered after making up his mind "Before we break the door, I need you to listen to me carefully"

Then, Daniel tells him his plan.
